Real problem is they don't understand it's them making themselves unhappy by constantly envying what others have, they believe they aren't happy because their husbands aren't providing whatever that's needed to make them feel happy. They can be living a life better than 98% of men 80% of women on this planet and still be miserable because they see that 20% of women and think their husbands are "denying them" of that life.
What makes this more troubling are 2 variables:
1) Marriage has been on an overall decline Year over Year 60% since 1975
2) Women initiate the majority of divorces starting at 70%
It's worse when also considering information from various sources (including Census bureaus) to fill in gaps
Slightly over a starting 50% divorce rate within the first 5 to 7 years with a recurring risk of every 3 to 5.
The probability goes UP if they have previously divorced, or are post-sec educated (NOTE: I AM NOT KNOCKING MEANINGFUL EDUCATION) resulting in higher risk the higher HER education (men's degrees seem to have no impact on male initiated rates), or are from a family where parents have divorced. When combined, the risk pushes high 80s to low 90%s initiated by the woman.
Even "common law" and other informal relationships are becoming too great a risk for men as there has been a push, depending on jurisdiction, to penalize men simply for being involved with women.
One example (India) where women can merely claim a man promised to propose can result in criminal charges of "r*pe" or civil penalty of obligated wealth transfer as though they were married.
Another example (Canada) which should be disturbing to anyone living in a Western Nation that applying The Common Law is a case where a man was ordered to pay support to a woman for having dated her as though they had a common law relationship. This despite, no children, no shared assets, no pooled assets, and most important no cohabitation.
Where are the men? Why aren't men pursuing women?

Laws need to change. They were made to protect women in the 70s when women didn't work. In some states your wife could cheat on you kick you out of the house and you still have to pay her monthly and the judges don't even care if that leaves you with $900 a month to live on. I think you're being unfair to some of these women, especially the cold sore woman. HSV-1 is absurdly common (upwards of 80% of all Americans have it), and it never goes away once you have it. She might have gotten it by sharing a juice box with a friend when she was six. It's also simple to keep from spreading: just avoid kissing or receiving food or drink (or oral sex) from someone while they have an active sore and you'll be fine.
