Henry Hill and Frank Cullota interview on The Ed Bernstein Show

- Опубліковано 5 вер 2024
- If you cannot get enough of the movies "Goodfellas" or "Casino", my guests are Henry Hill and Frank Cullotta. Henry Hill is a former American mobster, Lucchese crime family associate, and FBI informant whose life was immortalized in the book Wiseguy, written by crime reporter Nicholas Pileggi, and in the 1990 Martin Scorsese film, "Goodfellas", in which Hill was played by Ray Liotta.
Frank Cullotta was an associate in the Chicago "Outfit", friend of mobster Anthony Spilotro, and leader of "The Hole in the Wall Gang". In 1982 Cullotta became a government witness and his testimony was instrumental in putting a number of mobsters behind bars and causing the Outfit to lose its control over Las Vegas.Cullottas real life story was played out by actor Frank Vincent as the character Frankie Marino in the movie Casino.

MrGameFreak once upon a time in America was a good movie 👌👍
Although I totally agree the casino and goodfellas were fantastic films along with godfather part 1&2. part 3 was a joke by the way. Donnie Brasco was a very true depiction of what mafia was all about. Most street guys where living hand to mouth on a daily basis. It was only the real smart guys with business sense that made the big money and kicked a big portion of it upstairs to the bosses to make sure they they were protected in a way. The soldier of the crews had to do all the hits when they were told to and if they refused they knew they would be the next to die.
Frank’s got that legit Chicago Outfit accent.. Henry just sounds drunk, lol
yes Henry was a mess and in my opinion Frank was about that life and Henry i dont think it was for him i dont believe Henry all the way.were Frank you know he telling the truth
@Infantryman, Airborne also they HAVE to tell the truth to get the deal with the government, if they are caught out in a lie they can lose their deal so it's not worth them lying as they end up doing 100 years in jail with a hit on u with no protection
Pissed as a fart ,or as he would say, jober as a sudge!!!
@MysteryFanThe teeth are part of his show business. He's breaking them teeth in for Seabiscuit!¡
Of course he was drunk. Frank is a stone cold murderer, while Henry isn't. I don't think Henry ever killed anyone when he was living that life. He roughed people up, hijacked trucks, and took part in robberies sure, but he wasn't a hitman. There's no doubt that Henry was haunted by the things he seen and done in his past. He wasn't a psychopath like Tommy was. And to make matters worse he was being constantly reminded about his past every time he had do one of these interviews. I know I'd be drunken mess too if I was in his shoes.
Henry looks like a non playable character on GTA

Lmao
As far back as I can remember I always wanted to be an internet gangster.

They should have known Frank wasnt gonna rat he was a lifelong goodfella had been in trouble in the past and not ratted was a second generation mobster. And for the family to turn their back and order a hit was just as bad as ratting. Frank will openly admit he is a rat and it kills him to admit that. He never wanted to he wasn't given a choice and guess what he is still alive most of the family's are gone so in the long run who was the dumb one. I had the pleasure of talking to him for hours in Las Vegas at a place called champagnes very interesting individual.
Jeez you can tell Frank was the real deal just by how he is sitting and talking where as poor Henry just looks and sounds like a struggling street guy. RIP to the both of them!
Frank was the real deal, he was an enforcer and killer.
Henry was a lost soul. He unfortunately was a addict for a majority of his life
Henry was a absolute nobody he wasn’t even close to the level of Frank why was he even there you can see who the real wise guy was killer money maker
@@javiervilla254 Henry was on the program because he cooperated and a legit gangster isn’t going on a show to talk about the Mob. But you are right. Henry was a Wiseguy,he couldn’t be because his father was Irish, and Henry was involved in the Boston College points shaving scandal and a few other things like Air France robbery, which really wasn’t a robbery as anyone would think. The movie “Goodfellas” made Henry out to look like something he wasn’t. Henry was a lost soul drug addict. Let’s just call a spade a spade.
Thats the difference between and hustler and a stone cold killer.a real gangster

Henry was fuckin loaded in this interview 😅
when your not sure of yourself! you always will be
Henry seems like such a non factor next to Frank. Look how composed and serious Frank is. You can definitely tell who the stone cold killer is
Mike Burch LoL yeah that “Stone Cold Killer” takes people and families on tours of Las Vegas now....and jumps on any chance he can to talk about “the life”
Gangsters from Chicago are of a different breed
Henry WASN'T a killer. He was a drug dealer, a thief and a "knockaround guy" (i.e: An Associate.). Cullota on the other hand, was a stone cold killer ( A "hitter" if you will.).
yeah henry wasn’t a killer
does anyone know if Henry ever killed someone....
Just by Hearing them talk , you can tell that Frank is far more intelligent and level headed than Hill
Drugs will do that, Henry used to be a lot sharper.
you do know what Drugs do to people especially Heroin & Cocaine?
The interviewer is horrible. He doesn’t know anything about them. He didn’t do his research.
Yeah, hes a bum!
He’s just a local attorney here in Vegas
Mispronounce Frank’s last name even when he has the book in his hand.
He looks and sounds like every single lawyer ever.
Too late I did the opposite. I didn’t enjoy it and didn’t stfo. So guess your comment is moot. Can’t unscrew a pregnant woman. Unless you mean stfo with future videos. In that case, no. That’s what the comment sections are for. If it was a good interview I’d like it, say “good interview” and move on. That’s the point
Henry Hill never changed his life. He went to prison in the mid 2000s and was in and out of rehab until the day he died.
He was like a hustler, opportunist. He seems like a goofy, harmless type of guy, but even his sister said he was always looking for an angle, even if he was chatting with an old lady, he was angling to see what he could get from her, even if it was a fake pearl necklace
Henry not only was a Rat. He was a Loser.
WOW. I love that from New York. SEXY.
Thanks
@MysteryFan say what you want about him but it made a lot more money than any of you live the full life it wasn't as dumb as you guys are saying he was or he wouldn't have made it as far as he had you have to give me a credit where credit's due sometimes it sounds like a lot of you maybe just kind of jealous how many of you could make it into the mob not many at all so what if he lived the rest of his life in the Limelight he was smart enough to make it
Night and day. For those who actually do research into Hill's life and Cullotta's life. One guy is hardcore and the second would be called a hanger on
I read "Culotta." Frank's life is the horror story of every parent. Crime, Prison, etc. is a way of life. The Syndicate has a piece of all illegal activities. Cullotta never wanted to be part of the Syndicate but he still had to answer to it. The Upper Crust Pizzeria.
You can really see the difference between the two gangsters. Hill (who was mostly a thief and racketeer) is all smiley, fidgety, poorly dressed and the first to talk. Whereas Frank (who literally killed dozens of people for Spilotro) is stone cold, quiet, confident and dressed like he knows this interview will be broadcasted. Very interesting differences
Henry hill became an even bigger drunk and drug addict after cooperating, he said that it was hard to take knowing he was a rat
Frank claimed to have killed 2 people, and set up 2 others.
Henry claims to have killed no one, but it's almost impossible to believe because of what his closest associates were doing.
Hole in the wall gang
He killed 2 people, not dozens.
He didn’t kill dozens of people

There was a youtube video where Henry Hill was talking about the movie "Goodfellas" and said he thought Robert DeNiro was "A fuckin nut job" for calling him all the time about filming certain scenes for the movie.
Frank didn't like DeNiro either. He went in on him
...actually, Frankie "Brahma" Cullota wasn't an associate, he was MADE by the Chicago Outfit when he went to work with Tony Spilotro in Vegas.
I speak fluent Pittsbughese... and I’m partial to the red, white, and green(my name ends in a vowel) but his Chicago/Paison accent is a beautiful thing.
Everyone wants to be a Gangster till the bullets start flying, then they wanna call the police........
Henry´s shirt is the real crime
Lol....good one
On August 20, 2020, Cullotta died at the age of 81 in a Las Vegas hospital from complications related to COVID-19 and other medical issues.[11] His death was also announced on his UA-cam channel, "Coffee with Cullotta".[12]
He was murdered by the medical system for money.
Pretty funny to see goodfellas and casino sitting next to each other
Yeah funny. I thought basically the same thing when I clicked onto this one. This kind of interview of two mob guy is very unusual--one from one of the five families in New York and the other from the Chicago Outfit...both have a rich history. They both are similar, though, in that both heard on tape that they were going to get whacked by their own. Computer kids keep yelling "RAT!" but I'd love to put one of them in that same situation. Shit, I'd roll on a dime if I heard that sort of thing on tape.
efilperpenfuhrer junior officer ahahah its easy to say it. And you could be hardcore and not snitch, but what if you have family, kids wife mom dad friends.... Most people don’t think about that. Without them, there would be no iconics movies as well so I thank them for that!
Goodfellas seemed pretty drunk during the interview. I liked Casino though, good composure and gave very interesting answers.
@@CPhelps1247 lmao Henry Hill was known to be a drunk… as Micheal Franzese once said in interview, Henry ne ver looked as good as portrayed in the movie
Hill is completely stoned.
Is poor Henry's brother is still there stirring the sauce. Lol

Dont Make it Stick!
Henry is no Michelangelo. 😄
I like Frank,he seems like a smart street guy.Its funny when he says their not as bad as the white collar criminal, only difference I say is the mob breaks your legs if you dont pay back their loans on time!hahaha.
Yeah in the white coller guys just break ur computer lol
Henry Hill didn't make any eye contact at all with Cullotta.
Paul Vario was never the leader of one of the 5 families. He would have been a foot note of un-importantance in the mob. No one of you can say you ever heard of him before goodfellas. He was a Captain, never even an underboss.
He was an acting underboss briefly...
Henry just wants a damn drink lol
He's wearing that shirt for a dare.
Ive been dying to see these two in an interview together
There is a scene in Casino at the end were a guy gets killed and the shooter always kinda creeped me out, I didnt know why. I think it was how pro he looked. It was Frank Cullotta now I know why it scared me.
He did look like a real hitman in that movie?
Yeah I only became aware of frank’s existence recently and I watched casino the other day and I realised the killer that stood out is him.
Henry says everyone was promised half a million dollars but they thought they only stole two million????? I don't get the math when 11 people were involved.
Nearly all the robbers were killed by Jimmy Burke and he kept most of the loot for himself.
When I watch Casino - I always pointed out to my wife that "at least they got it right on the lingo when we say jagoff instead of jerkoff in Chicago.." It was cool to watch Frank Cullotta specifically point out that one little line that I noticed in this vid. Makes me feel my attention to detail isn't always a total waste - just usually... I saw Frank recently out in Chicago and he does have a strong presence, really reserved when I saw him.
Damn! Look at how big and imposing Cullota looked. Dude looked like a tough guy.
He is one of the most successful Attorneys here in Las Vegas. He handles mostly personal injury cases, so he is basically an ambulance chaser, but he has ads all over the place and a big office. He also had an unsuccessful Run for U.S. Senator for Nevada.
Henry Hill is an attorney?
Henry is intoxicated all right!
Henry's sister said that it was predictable for Henry to become state's witness, he was a rat as a kid, if you corner him he would sell a soul 😂 😂 😂in order to get away
That painting!!! 🤣🤣🤣
Henry is trying so hard not to sound drunk.
Awesome interview. Thanks for uploading.

Paul Vario was not one of the 5 bosses of NY! He was a Captain and before that a Consigliere, that just before he was cutting garlic with a razor blade.

The lonely night
Dreaming of a song
The melody haunts my reverie
And I am once again with you
When our love was new
And each kiss an inspiration
But that was long ago
And now my consolation
Is in the stardust of a song
Besides the garden wall
When stars are bright
You are in my arms

Of paradise where roses grew
Though I dream in vain
In my heart it will remain
My stardust melody

whats wrong with some people , they repeat stuff they hear like a parrot , you DO not rat on your friends but you DO rat on people who want to get rid of you and your family , bunch of hypocrites, if your life was in danger you do whateveer it is to nail whoever it you gotta nail to survive.
RAT is a word invented by people who create an atmosphere to protect themselves , there is no dignity or repect among them , its all BS, but if it makes you happy respect them but it doesnt mean they will respect you .
It always kind of bugged me when people on the comment sections of Mafia Documentaries on UA-cam or Gangster forums rant about "snitching", rats, and informants like Hill, Cullotta, Gravano, etc. For one simple reason. If anybody who follows Organized Crime happened to see any of these former wiseguys on the street, would they call them a "backstabbing rat" to their face? I guarantee that they would beg guys like Hill for an interview!
CentinelThe I mean they were gonna end up killing them. if my OWN friends that I wouldn't rat on are trying to kill me. ill rat on them no doubt

Paul vario was never the boss of the luchese family!
For the people says that all mobsters end up becoming rats lookup Sonny Black Napolitano or Lefty Ruggiero and say that again. They don't all become informants. Even the ones that do have their reasons. Unless you've actually been in their shoes don't judge. You don't what you would do.

When the host said that they have been apart of the beginning of organized crime but hill was born in 39 and organized crime started in 1919
Hey I believe people can change for the better. These mobsters have, but my love for the mob in movies is still strong. The Mob are real entertainment and real talk.
I wonder if Henry Hill still has any paintings left for sale I know he has passed away but I believe his wife has passed away also
Henry ,and this was told to me by Frank in person ,never painted anything except maybe a house.
The paintings sold on eBay were done by his granddaughter and he signed them when she was done.
Always a scam to make money.
paul vario was never a boss but still had great power in the hood as a capo
Right. He was still a boss. Captain also known as Crew Boss. Meaning he had anywhere from 10 to 50 soldiers and prob 50+ associates who he ran.
He mentions Paulie as one of the five bosses in NYC so he means family boss. Not a capo crew boss of which the five families had around 75 capos. And no capo has anywhere close to having around 50 made soldiers under him.
He was acting under boss for a bit.
Actually he was a boss as the Lucchese family around that time didn't have an official boss the capo's were the bosses
Lenny Zefflin exactly, nobody else picked up on Henry saying he was one of the five bosses. The five were always the five families
At 2:15, Henry Hill states that Paul Vario was one of the five bosses of New York. No, he was not. He wasn’t even an underboss. He was a capo in the Lucchese Family and according to Goodfelllas, Hill was an associate in his crew and knew him intimately from the time Hill was a kid. How could Hill make such a mistake?
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paul_Vario
It was plainly obvious from his minor mistakes and searching for the right words/phrases that he was in the early stages of one of a degenerative brain disease such as alzheimer's or dementia.
@@jcarlovitch Thank you. Yes, perhaps you're right.
I'm not glamorizing the lifestyle but Frank was a real mobster, Henry was a joke.
Henry was more of a hang around. He was never made.
Henry was an associate of Lucchese Crime Family, he was never made. He couldn't be made, because he wasn't full blood Italian. Plus Henry Hill was more of a racketeer, and a thief. He wasn't a hitman. Not every gangster connected to the mob is a hitman. Everyone has their areas of expertise. Not everyone can be a hitman. Judging by the movie Goodfellas. Henry never killed anyone, I mean watch the scene where Jimmy and Tommy kill Billy Bats. The look on his face is that of total shock and fear. For two reasons, he's just witnessed these two maniacs beat a man to death, two he knows they just killed a made guy. Which is something you just don't do without permission from the guy's boss. The crimes that Henry does actively take part in. Is hijacking trucks, loan sharking, and pulling off heists. He's was a thief and leg breaker and that's it. Frank on the other hand is a hitman, and he was also a made man in the Chicago Outfit. Frank is the kind of guy Henry used work for.
@@jamesroper4952Very different people, the Lufthansa heist was a deal too big for Henri, and also too big for Jimmy Burke, it's interesting Frank could have been made(I think he was made?)but he didn't want it, but Henri could never have been made, Franks dad was a criminal, Henri's dad was an electrician so they come at it from very different ways but in the end, they were both threatened by their own people, but more so with Henri
