tennis isnt about athleticism so much, like look up xavier malisse, he never was athletic, and after injury he came out as even bit fat and beaten 4th player in the world.
Fils probably going to have good results with clay and slow hard court. Will probably not have as good results on fast HC and grass for now because of his full western forehand grip. Was pretty obvious in Paris Bercy. I hope he can adapt in the future.
bit of exaggeration, no? while i do agree that fils is very athletic, the margin you’re suggesting is too much. he beat them by a good amount on the last test, but other than that it was fairly close. not to mention this is a poor experiment. lack of repetition and multiple trials = more room for error.
Yes I noticed the same. I guess that's why he scored much better. But technically maybe that's how he plays as well. It also shows he's willing to improvise to beat the score 😇 (disclaimer: I'm French. But I don't know him at all 😋)
Work smarter not harder. The point is to get to the ball as fast as possible before the double bounce. Fils did it the fastest & deserved to win. Take the frown elsewhere.
As soon the first 10 second even started I was like Fils gonna win everything. He is a gifted athlete. Michellesen has a serve and does not need this shite. They need to get Gael Monfils in here, my favourite athlete. And Alcaraz. And Dimitrov. And 19 year old Nadal. Everybody else can stay at home unless they want consolation prizes.
That was surprisingly fun. These kids are sooo slow!!! If you saw a Hewitt or a Nadal or Monfils (in their prime) do that 10m sprint it wouldn't be close. Only on the last one did they do pretty well. Anyway good luck to them all.
The point isn't just to jump super high. This isn't track hurdles. It's to maintain proper verticality & balance in your body for successful overhead smashes. Fils was the most vertical & jumped the highest.
Power is approximately height created in a short time. Tennis is a power endurance sport, not max height sport. A small power moment is advantageous in tennis not a high jump height.
@@cutie.patootie21211 Don't lump young Alex in with the far more agile US tennis greats from tennis history. Later years aside, Serena was fast on the court even after her knee injury. Drop shot at your own peril. Even now, Shelton, Paul, & Tiafoe are much better movers than Alex, but the kid is growing into his body & hasn't matured physically yet like Fils has. Before court homogenization favoring Eurasian players & leading to the rise of the Big 3, USA dominated tennis on both the ATP & WTA tours. Now, that they're making the courts faster, looking to reduce ever-increasing average length of matches, & are looking to change balls more frequently, big serving & more net play is back. American tennis is experiencing a promising renaissance (as is Italy).
Absolute hot garbage footwork & that's why he lost all three of his RR matches. The worst performer in the tournament. Who was he competing against to reach 97 in the rankings & qualify for this event? Mochi didn't qualify but after Tokyo, he would've had a better showing than Alex. Footwork is #1 thing to work on in the off season. #2 is Alex's serve. When he doesn't hit his targets, it's not threatening. He also needs more muscle.
Tennis got much more diverse after the Williams sisters exploded onto the scene in the late 90s. They're why we now have so many black & multiracial stars on both tours. Shelton, Fils, FAA, Diallo, Pegula, Osaka, & Keys are all mixed race. Li Na's success brought in more Chinese players. Jabeur's success is galvanizing investment into more players from Arab countries. A rising tide lifts all boats. Love to see it.
Fils is a BEAST. I really enjoy watching him play.
would love to see this with the likes of alcaraz and co and see how they do. did not think this video would be so entertaining when I clicked on it.
I was thinking the exact same thing, wonder how Carlitos can do on these with those legs.
That's what I want to see, Fils winning EVERYTHING
Cuck
Please also do this with the top 10 atp players Would love to see that . Great video👌
Great content, thanks ATP!!
Don’t know why but got surprised by Luca Nardi! 😅
Great physicality of all the players. Super efficiency. 😮👍☝️
Top 50 athleticism that Arthur Fils got! ✨ curious to see what he does in 2024! Top 10?
It’s a typical black athelte thing we’ve seen it from monfils Tsonga the Williams sister Arthur ash etc
i knew fils would do well. he is a beast on the court
Shame Hamd wasn't here but noce video non the less
It would be nice with more videos like this)
This boys are very nicely, many of them will have a great future in their soft tennis carrer
That looks really fun and also useful to the players! I wish I could do that >:-)
Really wonder what time people like Carlos Alcaraz or Monfils can get.😂
here you see a perfect display of why Fils will become a top 5 player soon. I mean the athleticism is remarkable!!

Top 5? Lol keep dreaming
Arthur is light years ahead of them in athleticism

Great content! Arthur Fils the oneeeee
Where's Medjedovic ??
Does anyone know where is Medjedović?
was in madrid for davis cup
Malaga 😅
Inthe last exercise Arthur didn't run backwards, but sideways 🙁

@@renobuttersThat is true, no one actually reverses with their feet facing to the net when playing tennis.

was medjedovic still at davis cup

Does anyone think it strange that they are only jumping 20"? Guys on my NAIA college team are all jumping over 20" and some as high as 32".

They jumped with their legs straight. Fils was the only one to pull his toes up as he jumped giving him extra height.
@@ksc743what good observation

@@magnussportsperformance Exactly. It's all about explosive power at first and then lots of little adjustments thereafter.
fils is rlly beast
Where's *Hamad Međedović?* 🇷🇸 He is the best of them all. 🎾
Spider drill with lights is cool, but you can’t compare existing data to this. It’s so different.
Arthur fils did the last one a bit wrong with those backward moments
Monfils would have done amazing at this
Arthur is the best
Fils is gorgeous and athletic.
Alex cracks me up he knows hes the least athletic there
i mean hes american, typically not the best movers in tennis (fritz, the big servers, etc)

Can't help but feel like these guys would lose out to every single squash player on the tournament.
and the winner was missing ;)
michelsen got the worst results and its showing in his footwork on court….

Alex Deminaur 💀
Now for Fils to win the next gen or else it will be funny

And the winner was not even there 🤭🤭🤭
you guys should have compared their results to a normal human’s
So the point is - even if your athletically seen a beast, you wont win against a serb 😂😂😂
one is very cocky;
someone is ranked 7th 6th 7th and 7th out of 7 people 😅
This is why I keep saying if tennis gets a massive influx of black people playing it the athleticism will increase significantly
There are still people doing racial profiling in 2023?
😭😭😭💀💀💀
Least brainrotted American
