Facts 💯 it's an insult and a disgrace totally disrespectful but the reality is my friend these companies steal tips from the drivers as well and it's been proven. They offer no transparency to the drivers that's the reason they don't disclose the amount or total amount of the order showing the breakdown of base pay and tip before you take the order
I almost agree, I have one idea, let me know what you think? First off, I’m part of the leave at door mafia, 😁 anyway, back to being serious. I think the customer shouldn’t have the tip access like that for sure, but if they get a terrible driver, they shouldn’t have to feel cheated either. So, my idea is, take away their access (tip alternating, unless it’s add tip only, for above and beyond) and give the authority to support team and they can open a light investigation, which would mean finally contacting us and ask us about what happened and they can make the determination, but only if it’s requested. I don’t think they should advertise it, but they should advertise proper tipping etiquette and what rolls we all play. Last I checked, I cook and deliver and then break another doors heart..
These apps are so trash, I used to get 2-3$ orders all day long until I stopped this nonsense. Boycott these garbage services, they can go to hell and so can there ceos
That's why I stopped, we gotta take care of our gas, phone, car maintenaince, and people barely tip at all, Uber & Door Dash pays so low, and takes majority of the profit for themselves. I understand it's a business but let's be a bit more fair, or least make it mandatory $1-3 tip that would even help honestly.
I just finished a dash shop and pay for 10 items from the hardware store. Although only 10 items my trunk was full, it was big items. Then I had to carry them up a flight of stairs and inside their very nice house. I figured they were probably gonna throw in a couple bucks in cash or something. Nope Nada, zero tip. I couldn't believe. It was 200 plus dollar order. I contemplated mentioning something in a calm respectful way. But I didn't, I just took it up the you know what and went on about by business.. But for sure ruined my mood for the rest of the day lol. Makes you wonder what goes through people's minds.
Some times the customer does not know, I did a pick up from lowes, simular situation like yours, the customer was older lady, we started talking and I realized she payed 39.00 for the delivery. I only got 2.00 out of the 39.00 dollars she payed.
The difference between trips and deliveries is, 90% of deliveries have tips -- and you see it upfront -- where as 90% of trips do NOT have a tip; and if it does, it shows up after the fact.
I had my first tip bait today. I did a shop and pay, which was picked up fast and delivered with no issue. No substitutes, handed to customer and was polite. she removed the tip entirely. I made 4$ for 5 mil and I shopped for your ass....What she does not realize is that there are not a lot of drivers that drive in my area at the times I do. I would not throw trash in her yard but I sure as well will go out of my way to make sure her order is delayed next time. Ill hold it for the max time and unassign.
If it is on Uber you can actually argue it based on independent contractor status and tip bating. A biggest thing is knowing your area. For example, I will almost never go south of a certain street unless the upfront money is huge.
Thanks! DoorDash shows the tip upfront and doesn’t have a tip baiting problem. Uber does tho. They do pay you if you are tip baited, but you have to have your facts together. Which trip, what the original payout was and why that was factored in to why you accepted it etc. Minimum 10mins on the phone. Totally not worth the hassle but they will pay the difference. Why they do it, baffles me. Imagine how many support agents this ties up 😂 easy easy problem to resolve.
This is NOT always true for UE. That calling in complaining about tip baiting and having my facts together shit only got me reimbursed 1 time. I've been tip baited atleast 3 times. 2 times UE didn't give af. Don't believe the hype. Calling or chatting, shit ain't always 100% guaranteed. But I am petty, I get my get backs when I remember customers. I've been tip baited once on Instacart and Doordash too. Don't trust anyone or anything on these apps. Just get your money, f*** everybody else
Happens less than 1% of the time. Seasoned drivers can avoid this. So many reasons not to do gig work but all markets are heavily saturated. Either people are dumb or there’s a lie some where.
@thehandsomeliberal,, I haven't complained about tip baiting yet,, but, I am almost 100% sure if I would complain about that Uber/UberEATS agent or the supervisors or the owner of Uber they wouldn't give a freaking"pile of manure!!!!! 🤬🤬
I do both Uber X and Uber Eats deliveries… both have they advantages and disadvantages… food deliveries usually are not as dangerous and most food deliveries and deliveries in general tip about roughly 80/90 percent of the time while Uber X is around 25 percent of the time… with the soaring gas prices and maintenance issues on vehicles I know really know if either are very good!
Ain't no more advantages in this game anymore 😂😂, but keep telling yourself that. I advise you look for something better. Go back to school etc. Whatever it takes
@thomaschicino7257 that's wassup. Shit ain't even worth part time anymore. Part time people were making more than someone working 45 hrs a week, just 3 years ago. I really hope these companies fall and fall hard
@@Foreign84As someone who's in between jobs, it's the only way I can compensate to help pay the bills until I find another job. I only started a week ago though and it's been pretty easy. I heard one of the UA-camrs say that is was so good a few years ago because of covid, and drivers got used to that, but idk.
They should have to call support and go through the hassle of that experience to retract a tip!! Had my first baiters in one shift… lost over $20 for that day. It’s BS.
I don't mind working for my money, but one thing I don't understand is how they let them get away with no tip at all.. They should have a mandatory minimum of a 10% tip with every single order or else they shouldn't be able to use the service.
@@WhoFlungDung I agree but that will never happen my friend, reason being if they put a mandatory ten percent tip on to every order that will deter people from using their service therefore affecting their bottom line as a business which is to make profit. These companies need to implement a minimum order of $6 nothing less. In today's economy sending drivers $2-3 orders is an insult and disrespectful. Gas is $3.99 a gal who the hell is going to move their car for $2-3 bucks?
I have been doing delivery for 4 years. I had my first tip bait issue a few days ago with Uber a 20 mile pizza delivery that showed a decent payout not great but ok. By the time the hour for tip change had passed I got $5 for the delivery. Called Uber to see if they could flag his account to watch him said they could and they would block his address from my account so I wouldn't get offers to deliver to him again we'll just have to see if they actually do it.
Lol cherry picking is done man ! If you sit around waiting and camping out in your car for the perfect order you're going to be waiting for awhile making peanuts regardless. These companies know about cherry picking and that's why they have the AR setup like DD and they know how to play the game. The reality is this gig has been over awhile ago time to get back into reality and get a real job

They should not allow customers to take back the tips that they chose for the drivers. It is not fair at all

This is why the government will step in with regulation on these companies eventually and they deserve it as they brought it upon themselves

I got a 20 dollar Uber eats ride for just 3 miles. Dude tipped me an extra 15 on top of that. Look at the customer rating before accepting any orders.
How do I see customer rating on UberEATS orders before hitting accept?
You can't see customer rating on food delivery that's only on Rideshare

Doordash doesn't show the full tip. They only show a fraction of the tip prior to accepting the offer.
