Seahawks must keep drafting players to be starters to play on rookie contracts
I’d rather draft then go for it in a trade. They mostly don’t work out.
Look at Jamal Adams lol.
They should have a real shot at a high end edge this years draft…that’s the play…..
@@real.cryptic Leonard Williams and Earnest Jones turned out pretty good, but I agree I wouldn't make a blockbuster trade for any of these guys
@@brianmyers4444possibly jalon Walker or Princely
selling the farm for these guys would be fun but I have a bad taste in my mouth after doing that for blitz boy
Crosby though
We wouldn’t be trading the farm.
Not quite. Crosby is an elite player, but I don’t think the Raiders will let him go knowing Brady will start calling the shots soon. Even if they end up drafting Sanders, they’d want a to keep a true leader like Crosby. Mafe + Walker + a 1st and 3rd is a sucker’s deal. As much as I like Brendon’s idea, I just don’t think John and Mike will be willing to trade those players. It’s too much of a risk. I also don’t want Ernest Jones gone. He’s the reason why this defense is better. Once again, I think the idea is sound, but I’d rather keep my picks and go draft well. Woolen, Lucas, Cross, Mafe, Hall, Bryant, Walker, Charbonnet, Metcalf, Smith Njigba, Murphy, Knight, Witherspoon, Dickson, and Laumea are all draft picks that John freaking aced and these young men are the foundation for the future. Nwosu, Jones, Williams, and Love are the older vets who are the leaders and pieces who keep these rookies and young players in check. So as much shit as we have been giving John Schneider, he’s been actually doing a great job and putting together a great roster. The 2025 draft class is loaded with awesome talent at the edge / pass rush position. Some of the guys I’ve scouted that could be options in the 2nd or 3rd rounds are:
J.T Tuimoloau (Ohio State), Shermar Stewart (Texas A&M), Kyle Kennard (South Dakota), Mike Green (Marshall), Princely Umanmielen (Ole Miss), and Bradyn Swinson (LSU). Those are all excellent developmental prospects for a year or two to actually make a difference. I just don’t think we should give up so much for an EDGE when we’ve got a very good edge group. Just my two cents. GO HAWKS
Trading 2 first for a safety was just stupid a d end / olb is the second most important position in football
we can only be as strong as our WEAKEST link, the o line
Very true. But it certainly won’t hurt the offense by getting a big rusher.
Also o-line is usually done through FA and the draft just cuz teams are very hesitant to trade a good o-lineman just cuz they are hard to find
They did great last game! Geno only got hit once! They ripped open holes for the running backs as well
Hard no. We need our draft picks.
We’re never going to win a Super Bowl with this team. Need to take a risk.
@@charliewilson7393Naw, one questionable guy will not do squat! Need a team, not one pass rusher who can't stop the run! Darrel Taylor got traded because of that! Hell no! 🤣
Yeah I'm w you on this one. Don't think getting that one guy at the d line is gonna help us get there. Don't even think the teams that have this elite talent have even made it themselves whats to say that it's gonna change when they come to the hawks. All it is, is gnna tie our hands on having talent elsewhere. I think what we're building is on the right track. 🙏🏽
“Michael Dickson is our super star” 😂😂 I love it man
I would rather just ride with our current rotation at edge than put a lot of eggs into one basket. Crosby and Parsons aren't great against the run and Myles Garrett is the one I'd want but he is turning 30 with a lot miles on him.
Maybe Mafe, K9 and a 2nd for Garrett is doable but we probably shouldn't force anything until at least the draft.
I think that’s still a little bit rich with Walker but it’s alright if we get jeanty in the draft. Or do like our first dreamont and boye for garrett to get rid of a bad contract
Mafe's stats are just as good as Parsons at half the price
I would just draft one if you need it. Youth and depth is op. IMO.
Maxx Crosby is a guy who would fit our culture and enhance it. That guy is a George Kittle type player who is always all in for his team and teammates (even though he was playing around with a lack luster crew). I would pay a good amount to put him next to Big Cat and Murphy.
Don’t need any more trade mistakes in the JS era
Williams and Jones working out just fine….
JSN is a top 10 receiver. He’s top 20 pick in his second season, 5 star recruit and was the unquestioned alpha in a stacked wr room. He playing like a top 10 wr and has the pedigree of one.
Bad idea
Yes
Crosby has stated he only wants to play with the Raiders. He would be the only guy I would trade for, due to the effort he puts in on every play on some weak defenses.
Surrounded by superior Seahawks talent, he could really pop and be truly elite... he is 6'5" but only 255. I'm not sure where he would be as a scheme fit.
Dickson is elite.
We just got big cat and jones. Plus I would never trade k9, at least need one more contract out of him maybe more
NOOOOO....I would rather pay a premium for a top 5 center, and pick up a top 15-20 Right Guard. People shading Geno as limited. I would love to see him work behind a top 12 offensive line. I think McDonald can scheme up the guys we have.
Man, seeing last night's game/past 2 games Vs. Zona really solidified it. Geno is the best QB in this Division for certain.
@@LongLivDaKing Stafford is the best QB....... Geno has literally never beaten Stafford so you would have to be sniffing something to think so.
@GreenBeanGreenBean Reality is a hell of a drug... You're correct lol
Interesting video. I just thing once Byron Murphy finds himself, we won’t need an elite edge rusher. But in the meantime we should invest in a better offensive line coach because development has been an issue.
Micah may end up bein cancerous to this org. Dude also keeps doing podcasts where he keeps throwing his team under the bus. I will not want to bet on a person with such toxic character however talented they are. Case in point Jalen carter. So I think JS will never entertain such characters entering our building.
I agree and I don’t even want parsons he’s overrated we have the same thing in hall or mafe or even Nwosu whose when healthy plays arguablely even better then Micah
The issue is we have a haul of players going into contract years and not a lot of cap room to play with. Geno, K9, DK, Ernest Jones, Cross, Mafe, maybe Woolen. There is no way we keep everyone unless Schneider is planning on slapping all these players with 5 year extensions and backloading the crap out of these contracts. Parsons is also in a contract year. Crosby and Garrett have huge cap hits. It doesn’t seem possible unless we’re trading most of these guys to grab 1 of these top talents.
I say hell no to any of those players and what they would cost both in picks/players and salary
People trying to say John doesn’t trade well need to look at the history and the percentages of big trades hitting league wide. He has done overall a good job in trading for players.
Adams was a bust, Graham was a bust, percey was a bust....
@ Adams was injury related which he didn’t have injury concerns before, Graham wasn’t a bust, Percy also wasn’t a bust. Getting a kick return in the SB all made up for it.
@jordan3305 perceys 1 kick return when the game was already over from the beginning wasn't worth a 1st round pick. He played 2 years for us. He played 6 games total , had 23 catches total , for a total of 150 yards, no touchdowns, 1 fumble. Not to mention we signed him to a 6 year deal worth 67 million the day we traded for him. Yeah he was a bust.
Graham was definitely a bust. We gave up a 1st plus unger. Our offense line was never the same after that. Graham played only 3 seasons for us. His best year was his 2nd year for us. 65 catches for 923 yards and 6 tds with 2 fumbles. We were paying him 9 mil a season. Outside of 1 year he wasn't worth it.
Jamal adams was a bust. We gave up 2 1st round picks a 3rd rounder and we payed him top safety money 4 years 70.5 mil. 17.6 mil per year. He played 4 years, played 34 games total for us. Only had 2 INTs both coming in 2021, 9 sacks total all came from 2020, played 10 games total last 2 years. He was not worth any of that. Injuries are unpredictable but that doesn't mean looking back on it that it's not a bust 😂
@@KyleFromSouthPark1995what a moron you are
Why not make a move for a superstar lineman
Seattle's pass rush is fine as is. And Mac has shown he doesn't need elite pass rushers to get pressure.
Seattle needs offensive lineman, potentially a replacement for Lockett/DK if we let DK walk, and DL.
This is the draft to do it, if you are ever going to do it. This draft is weak overall.
That trade sounds too desperate to make sense. I prefer drafting youth on defense and trade/free agent veterans on offense.
You have the wrong idea, if we get somebody it needs to be an all pro O lineman
John has a poor track record when it comes to trading for “superstar” players, often sacrificing significant assets and leverage.
• Jamal Adams: We paid top dollar for a safety to avoid losing a second-round pick on a one-year rental. Without the Wilson trade, this deal would look even worse.
• Jimmy Graham: We gave up an All-Pro center with four good years left and a first-round pick for a decent receiving tight end who couldn’t block.
• Percy Harvin: This was the biggest disaster-trading a first-round pick, two additional picks, and signing a massive contract for a toxic player. Harvin managed just 150 receiving yards and zero touchdowns over two years. This trade may be a key reason the Seahawks fell short of becoming a dynasty.
That said, John has excelled in drafting and lower-profile trades. It wouldn’t be surprising if these big trades were influenced by Pete or other outside forces, as they seem so out of character.
I’m all for Crosby and Parsons. Garret I am concerned about age and injury mostly
Parsons a cancer we don’t need that
@ lol, he isn’t a cancer. People need to stop making things up 😂
Thank God Brendon isn't our GM.
Totally
I would love it if we picked up Dexter Lawrence( Even though he's not an edge rusher) and/or Maxx Crosby
who says we need an elite pass rusher? we didn’t have one in 2013. It was the backend of our defense
Trade for him if you can get them to take Dremont Jones
For the price tag($) and the draft capital we would have to move, it’s a no from me. If MM and JS have shifted the philosophy of the team, we are going to be investing heavily in OL and DL in the first couple rounds of the draft when applicable. I much rather take the chances of JS drafting ability, than take a financial hit and not be able to extend some of these budding stars we have been developing (Boye, D Hall). And that doesn’t include Spoon, Woolen, Bryant, K9, DK, Cross, and anyone else that’s due for a new contract in the next few years
Pushing back against the "we need an elite" folks, the Patriots had an elite defense with almost no elite players - they were just all really solid and had a great scheme. That said? If we somehow nabbed Parsons? Wouldn't be mad. I wouldn't want to sell the farm for him, but he's really, really, really, ridiculously good
If I had to pick, Maxx would be my choice. Most realistic fit and hes gonna be cheaper. Although, I like how we've been drafting lately. I wouldn't go all in on a player until we are condending consistently
I agree Brendon, Michael Dickson is our Superstar.
While we are doing suggestions in fun what do we think about Pickens replacing Lockett 🙃 sounds like a lot of fun a lot of flags but a lot of menace activity😎
Crosby for Nwosu, K9 and a 3rd. Release Roberson-Harris, let him fill that role.
Ken Walker is not even close to a top five running back. The guy hits the line like a fucking grandma
Jloce is top 5 earnest is top 5 spoon a riq are top 10 corners they just dont get talked about enough
The team needs to find a way to acquire a top game impacted of some kind whether that’s a Pass Rusher or QB. Those are the top two impact positions.
I’d rather Keep K9, Hall, and Draft a Edge to replace Chen10… the only one intriguing to me is crosby
I feel like Mike Macdonald can make it work without "Superstar" talent on defense. I think a superstar on offense is far more desirable. If someone like Jamar Chase becomes available, I would rather get him.
Naw! Not so sure about Parsons and the ridiculously expensive contract? Need OLine, NT, ILB, WR, S. Whether in draft or FA. Need money for that.
You draft and develop great players. Trading for great players may only get you a good player because the only thing you know for certain is that that player was great on that team.
We have 4 pass rushers that are doing a good work. I dont think we should tie to a heavy contract unless we really believe in a superbowl contention this year. Which i dont think its realistic
We traded Taylor who could sack, but couldn't stop the run? Why lose draft picks and money to do the same thing again? 🤔
Wouldn’t do it unless it was a steal. I agree trading Walker while he is hot.
JSN is definitely top 10.
I’m okay. We don’t really have money right now and even if we back load the contract we still have to extend a lot of ppl. If we have top 20 top 10 maybe 5 players at each position we would be just fine. I feel we go as far as our oline will take us
no.
I feel like it would just end up like the Jamal Adam's trade. I'd rather trade for a superstar wr
Honestly, trades haven't worked out for us apart from Ernest Jones. Would rather not go this route.
Leonard Williams? Diggs? Duane Brown? Marshawn ? Percy Harvin ? Even Blitz boy first season with us was phenomenal, You win some and lose some.. i do agree we need to build in the draft but the idea trades have not worked for us is not true
How bout we replace laken tomlinson at left guard first 😂
Mehh, I would rather pay EJ4 and Riq and that might be tough to do as is
Wed trade walker + mafe +1st + 3rd and 35 mil per year for any of these 3? Pass. If we have pay them then we shouldn't give up a 1st
No freakin' way. Guaranteed money, injury, mind games, too many ways to bust. Draft.
NO RUMOR HERE = GB is a Top 3 Offensive Line, and our Defensive Line will be tested this week. If our DL can dominate the GB OL, then look for the Hawks to win 34 - 16. Yes, a blowout Seahawk win, at home. Our home record is losing record all yr, now would be the time to screammmmmmmmmmmm Sorry Fans, we're back !
Brendon your strong suit on this channel is the game to game analysis. You see the field well. Your armchair GM stuff though is not it though
I’m not trading walker and a first for any of them we have Good players
No. No trades dude. We have way too much talent. JSN, Walk, Charb, Spoon…. Why do we need to trade? Just stick with what we got.
Trade Metcalf for draft picks , and build with young inexpensive players . He should be worth a 2nd and 4th pick .
Dumb teams will give us a first look at Arizona who gave legit a first round pick for Hollywood brown. It will be like a first and a 3rd
No thanks. Three great players but I wouldn't be giving up our best attacking weapon and a young edge rusher on the up for guys who have maxxed out their abilities.
Am all end for Myles and Crosby
I'd have to say no to all three, we're more than a player away from a championship
I hope so
Hate to say it but we should trade Lockett for a draft pick or solid o line player cause he isn’t getting no catches plus we have JSN , DK and BoBo
He’s not tradable because of his contract to performance disparity
Where are you going to play Garrett? He's 272 lbs. B gap? He's too light and he would be ineffective. Are we going to change to a 4-3 defense and move a linebacker outside of him? If so, then who? Now we need another linebacker. Would we play him at edge rusher? He's too slow to be able to cover that ground.
I don't like the idea of trading pics and some of our really good players for a possibly great player All three of these players have issues Garrett is getting older add me breakdown in Parsons has attitude issues and it's small and may not work for what we want and I do like Maxx Crosby but I don't like the thought of paying him big time money so we can't have other good positions we need a left guard and possibly a center are defenses playing fine if we get bigger players we can play Murphy more on the outside a little bit
We don't need a guy who disappears for WEEKS at a time, like he did in the Green Bay playoff game, and then on his podcast he throws everyone else under the bus to deflect from his own subpar play. And in general he's just an idiot. Hard pass.
The only reason DK and JSN is not top ten is because you don't have a quarterback capable of making them top ten.
Even if we had the best qb in the league, behind the worst line in the league he cant do much. Look how the team is doing better since lucas, olu and laomea started. In the beginning of the year our oline was literally the worst in nfl
His negativity can be really annoying at times🙄
He is poison
Max Crosby 🔯♍️♑️♒️♒️♑️🕎
I’m okay. We don’t really have money right now and even if we back load the contract we still have to extend a lot of ppl. If we have top 20 top 10 maybe 5 players at each position we would be just fine. I feel we go as far as our oline will take us
