Sadhguru over simplified the wrong doing of Ashwathama. He not only slaughtered children while sleeping but also tried to kill an unborn baby in his mother's womb. Ashwathama wanted to wipe out the whole vansh(family lineage) of pandavas.

Actually he was cursed when he killed a baby in the womb of daughter in law of Arjuna and when he was cursed his jem on his forehead was removed which actually protected him from all disease and all sufferings and now he has to wait for Lord Vishnu to take new avatar as KALKI and he will assist him then he will get free from curse. Sadguru oversimplified the story.

He has more purpose to life left, and that is why despite facing punishment he gets to live.
Kalki is the 10th incarnation of Lord Vishnu who will come to end Kali at the end of this quarter of time and the 7 immortals of this world will assist Kalki in his fight against Kali.
Kali signifies all the bad things that are out there.

Aswathama was always immortal since he is not properly human . He was attained by drona by lord shiva through hard penance and worship . The only thing he got was suffering as a curse from lord krishna . What he did was terrible even with todays standard then wars were fought with rules and honour .
    No fighting in night
    Never attack women and children
    Never attack unarmed warrior.
    Always fight equal warrior .
Ashwathama killed sleeping children and a warrior and to make it worse he tried to kill the unborn child of kuru lineage. Who is very important character in history of india.

No matter how you try to reason, Parixit or even the Pandavas do not have the Kuru lineage. It is a myth to believe that. Read the Mahabharata carefully, and reflect. (Hint: Yayati was Manava Gotra, Bharata disowned his children and transferred it to an adopted child - Guess Who? Ambe et al had off-springs from KrishnadvaipAyana, and earlier offspring of Satyavati). The list goes on. I do not want to spill the secret. Abhimanyu was the son of Subhadra, On ana On.../..

As you know Hinduism is multi life concept . To understand the sanatan concept one need to understand the soul with pure physics perspective. And how would behave , how soul change the body , how soul would decide where it has to go after leaving the existing body. What is nirvana and why it need will be clear after that

He was not cursed for killing children(they were actually young men who fought war).
He was cursed for killing a baby in the womb using the 'Brahmastra', a divine weapon.
He wanted to destroy the only heir(grandson) of the Pandavas (he earlier killed their sons in their sleep and some were killed in the war).
But Krishna gave the life of the baby back but cursed Ashwattama for the horrific act of killing an unborn baby.

All philosophies are relevant outside the battlefield when you are in one your only job is to fight for victory till you can, and when battles are taken outside the field there have to be repercussions for the one doing it, else it becomes a norm that's why Krishna's punishing Aswatthama was correct I believe.

Supreme god of slavic is veles, hence slavic people mythologyically called people of veles and their scriptures book of veles
Veles later overtaken by perun( thunder god ) ,in slavic mythology perun fought with veles deafeated veles and perun then Gain sacrificial rights to be first worshipped by humans

    • @greaterbharat4175
      @greaterbharat4175 Місяць тому +3

They are connected because The slavic veles is in Hinduism is vala/ valasura
      Indra mentioned deafeating vala
In rigveda srbinda is mentioned enemy
Srbinda word is similar to srbenda ( oldest name of serbs)
Basically Indra worshipper Hindu attacked on slavic society

Slavic people actually origin of danubians race or danubian valley region ( danubian valley, originally danu river valley )
Danube (longest running river in Europe)
The danava in Hinduism mean race of danu river
Now you know why so similarities
Just like British did to India, Vedic Indian did to slavic people
Batlo slavic country named Croatia ( offical name "Hrvatska" ) Hrvatska is Persianized term for harauvat / saraswat ( indo Afghans Hindus)

You said that since we are connected the sufferings of one person may be shared by all. No ! It is not! The Atman which is poorly translated as soul, becomes one with param Atman ( the supreme) after death only. That too after taking many rebirths and realising the self. Until then the sufferings are to be bourne by it

I don't think you are understanding what I'm trying to say. I come from the point of view- we are all one, we are all connected - so we are part of this unifed field called God/universe, etc (give it a name you wish) - hence all of this is felt on a subtle level. Maybe not the best parallel but you are possibly aware of butterfly effect and what it can cause. I mean to say we are all connceted and impacted by one another on a much deeper level.

Yes we are one collectively but diverse too individually. And each indiviual is binded to do karma and that affects all other individuals. Isnt it?
Our body is made of different parts and different cells. All cells collectively is one but each one of those are different. And we need to keep balance between the cells so that body remains healthy. If disbalanced all cells life is in danger. So if anything disbalanced shouldnt we take medicine bcoz it it kills some of the cells so other cells can grow and make the balance. If we think all cells are connected and are one then why bother if anything disbalanced. Why to take medicine?

We're all connected but what connects us is the universal . Jung's "collective Unconscious" , Hinduism's Parmatma. What is not connected is the Individual consciousness , Hinduisms Jivatma, that I and you , the part we identify as "ourselves". From the interplay of these two, The Collective Unconscious/ Individual Consciousness, Parmatma/Jivatma is the play/Leela of this Universe created. That's Jungian Psychology as well as Hinduism.

Don't take the story at face value, it has infinite purpose, you find the purpose according to your level of understanding, there is no right and wrong, you will move towards a lesson to be learnt according to what you need. Nothing in the Veda's can be taken at face value. The Veda's are written in Sanskrit and they don't have english translatables, therefore they get lost in translation. For example Satguru is not educated in Sanskrit, therefore he might not necessarily be correct in his explanation. Zuzana you need to learn about Sanskrit first do videos on it from different scholars and then you will realise that the storys are similar to parables in the bible and therefore most so called enlightened people don't really know what is being said according to context of the age we live in. Just do video's on Sanskrit then you will know. Danny Beharie, South Africa.

First of fall when it is about scriptures you should avoid sadguru, because he is telling TV series stories to people...
in yoga, he's expert I agree. but in scriptural knowledge no , he has very less knowledge on scriptures.
Point number 1 : according to vyasa Mahabharata aswathama didn't kill some kids . Aswathama tried to kill 5 pandava brothers. Atleast he's thinking that he's killing pandavas . But in darkness he didn't noticed that he actually killed Pandavas 5 son's who are sleeping in a war tent.
Those 5 son's are not kids. Those are 25 -30 aged persons who also practicipated in the war .
Krishna didn't give curse because of that. No
Point number 2: Krishna give that curse because aswathama killed a fetus which is in the womb of a mother'..
Aswathama released his "brahmasira" ( celestial weapon) against a baby in mother's womb. Krishna and vyasa asked aswathama to take back the weapon. but out of anger aswathama refused to take back that weapon..
So Krishna cursed aswathama. I'm putting the actual translated paragraph from Mahabharata here about the curse
"For 3,000 years thou shalt wander over this earth, without a companion and without being able to talk with anyone. Alone and without anybody by thy side, thou shalt wander through diverse countries, O wretch, thou shalt have no place in the midst of men. The stench of pus and blood shall emanate from thee, and inaccessible forests and dreary moors shall be thy abode! Thou shalt wander over the Earth, O thou of sinful soul, with the weight of all diseases on thee."
This is the exact curse given by Krishna.

    1. Sadhguru’s scriptural stories are a bit shaky, as he has said he hasn’t studied them. So, take them with a grain of salt. Read the story online.
    2. Now, you mentioned that God doesn’t punish us because we are His children - I don’t agree with this. Parents punish their children to course-correct them. Karma, which is perpetuated by nature on everything here, is created by God Himself. So, this statement doesn’t hold true. Also, curses/punishments should be seen as net positive. Hindu stories are filled with boons and curses.
    3. What is a boon/curse in Hinduism? People who have high spiritual strength and sadhana (e.g., yogis) can make things happen by merely uttering it. Its called Vak siddhi. It can be also be done accidentally, though rarely through deep-focus. Nature (God) permits it if its in sync with it. I’ve seen boons given by yogis coming true multiple times firsthand. I’ve heard about curses through gossip. So, it does happen, not just psychologically. However, based on the weight of the boon/curse, the granter has to spend his hard-earned spiritual energy on this. There might be karmic repercussions of this as well.
    4. Realized Saints (like Nanak, Tukaram, Jesus, Buddha, etc.) are extremely kind, gentle, and forgiving, like flowers. But nature is not. In India, there are endless stories of fools trying to harm/kill saints. Even though they ignore and forgive, nature (God) bites them back (their karma) with full vengeance. Only those saints can save such people in such cases but its complicated. Avatars and sages have a side where they are very forthright and have very high integrity. They don’t tolerate adharma. Evil people get cursed at their own expense. It is understood that even a curse from a divine being is net positive and is often predestined (like a prophecy).
    5. Now, regarding Krishna cursing… He was here for a purpose. He can be the most loving and yet won’t shy away from knocking heads off. It is understood that both boon and curse are beneficial in the long run and are often predestined karmic situations. Also, here, immortal means ‘till the end of this Kali-age’ as time is cyclical for Hindus.
    6. You often mention - We all are one. I would say yes and no. What is “We”? Western authors throw this phrase around a lot without realizing the gravity of this, making it sound almost cringy (to me). Maybe I expand on this in future but it’s like bringing in quantum mechanics in every discussion rather than the more practical Newtonian mechanics to understand a phenomenon, even though we know that quantum is the underlying truth.
    7. Regarding Spiritual Ego - if it’s a false ego, i.e., bookish knowledge but thinks “I know Brahman”, then it’s really a sin. But if it’s a truthful ego without pretension, like e.g., I’m a human, I’m good in Maths, I work hard, etc., then it’s not so bad. There are much worse egos that we people have. Usually, in the spiritual path, spiritual ego (if present) is the hardest to break and usually among the last ones to break. You can expand on this topic in the future to explain yourself better.
You’re going to have endless clashes of perspectives since you don’t know the theories/reasonings well. Indians have been having this between different schools of thought for ages. 😄

God is not just love, He is also fierce and the law of nature is such that what you do will determine what u get be it curse or boon. Western call it Karma knowing very little from where it comes from. Dhrama is the basic principal in Sanatan Dhram. Religion is completly different from Sanatan Dharm and follow the way of life meaning how u life ur life following ur Dhrama. Though i am not that spiritual but i have this basic understanding of things like most people in Bharat.

Great for you that you have that basic undertanding. I do have my own understanding based on 20 years of looking into spirituality and speaking to people that are connected to the divine. I believe what I believe based on a) what I read and b) what I experienced and c) people that I spoke with. I don't feel that I have to be bound to one particular school of thought and be rigid with my believes. Having superiority in anything just shows ego as in - my path is better than yours, you don't understand, we are much better than, I know the basics you don't, etc. That's shows to me the basic lack of understanding what spirituality is about. However, we are all entitled to live and experience life on our terms -that's the beauty of life. I would just added without the ego need to put other people down in the process.

Spirituality is the way to truth of life. Ramayan and Mahabharta comprises of legends who born from Gods(Devi and devtas). They weren't normal humans like us. Some cursed, immortal, some blessed with different boons. That World is binding of Normal and spiritual world. You cant compare that characters with day-todays normal world humans.
