I can't believe people are hating on Marina and Edwina! Marina is my favorite character from s01 ! She was the most level headed and sympathetic character that felt like a real person, who made tough choices and who could judge her?? Daphne coming to her aid and finding the brother was just a miracle in terms of the world the show has established. And Edwina was a marvel! She and the prince are both just very emotionally mature, kind, intelligent people. Honestly prefer to see more from them than some other characters.
I’m not going to watch QC because Jonathan and Simone got me into S2 and are only reason I’m going to tune into S3. I am a resident of former british colony and have been cringing as they promote the show with dialogues mentioning how 'difficult' it is to be a queen or how the 'burden' of the crown is not easy to bear. I am interested in seeing how it is received and for your reviews of course!
A couple of one season spin offs would be great, I don’t want to end up with multiple ongoing bridgerton series running at once and delaying releases of the main series, especially if they are alternating years to keep the content more relevant
It's fustrating they bill Queen Charlotte as the love story that started it all, when actually it was Violet and Edmund that were the love story that started a family of 8 children we are watching find love. I would have very happily sat through watching them get together. As others have pointed out there is the Rokeby series of books that are a prequel to Bridgerton, why not use those I would love to see a Madame Delacroix spin off or even a Will and Alice one. But I don't want spin offs if it impacts the ability for them to make the main series by causing delays to us getting the next series. Im with you on the give Benedict his season, even more so after seeing him in A Little Life on stage (Luke Thompson knows how to play caring & affectionate romantic scenes) If there is overlap in writers and crew, I don't want them burning out or unable to work on the next season of Bridgerton because they've been doing a spin off.
I think that your spin off ideas are amazing because; 1. They include interesting characters, 2. They mainly include original characters so the writers can do whatever they want. As much as i love the idea of a romance between Edwina and Friedrich i have to admit that Edwina and footman John are my crackship😅 Madame Delacroix spin off is a need more than ever!! Honestly those working class characters (Delacroix, Alice and Will, Theo) are so interesting and well played
I’m not married to the source material (since I haven’t read it) but going off the first two books I reckon the show is better at expanding the spotlight to the ensemble so… yeah, let me explore those new characters!
OMG, I loved this storyline. I need the story on the guys....there was so much emotion between them and when they showed the one manservant dancing alone....omg, amazing!!
After seeing as how they pivoted on Colin/Pen and found greater delight in not just adding Queen Charlotte but giving her a backstory tells me not to expect all of the books to be fleshed into their own independent series. I knew that Colin/Pen as they are written in S1/S2 are not ready for a love story together. They barely have the gravitas and support on their own independently. I believe I mentioned this somewhere, perhaps on your channel. They need more time to develop and perhaps do this throughout the life of others.

I don't mind waiting. Also it weirds me out to think of the little kids who play the youngest Bridgerton doing a saucy romance story any time soon. 😂 Also, there's potentially a writer's strike happening soon (we don't know for sure, yet), so 2025 isn't an implausible release date regardless of whether or not any spin-offs happen.

There is 4 prequel books to Bridgerton. It set somewhere around Queen Charlotte series time period. Books are about Rokesby siblings (Next door neighbors to Bridgerton country estate) Edmund Bridgerton is a teenage boy there and doesn’t feature a lot. BUT his parents and siblings are. Teenage Violet is in QC. They can weave in her love story with Edmund and spin off to Billy Bridgerton and rest of Rokesbys. This series more diverse than Bridgerton. One takes plays in New York. Another in Lisbon. I’d watch that.

10:02 yup. I've said it too. I would have liked more Sharmas' and less Featheringtons (sorry Portia, but I don't care about Jack and also, wasn't your husband murdered?).

Not you being also a former member of the Sleepy Hollow Fandom. Chile we was in the trenches. The misogynior was horrific. It was coming from all sides. And my girl Nicole has suffered. I am so bitter about the entire situation to this day. But yeah, people do way to much on my girl Edwina. I need people to get a grip on reality. She was at the literal alter with this man, and he was standing there lusting after her sister. And her sister was giving it to him right back. She had a right to be upset!! PLEASE!!! If my sister was the person yall say she was, Kate would not have gotten off this easy. She just wouldn't. I'll end it here because this is not the time or place for the Edwina rant. As for Marina, I actually haven't been privy to this because even though I watched the first season, I only entered the Bridgerton fandom in season 2. And even in that I have been entirely wrapped up in everything Kate and Anthony. But yeah, as I said before. Yall need to get a grip on reality. First off Penelope is out here ruining lives and sowing destruction, and I love that for her. It is one of the reasons I'm even interested in season 3, because I very interested in how they plan to resolve that mess. But like you said Penelope got shooters meanwhile Marina was just doing the best she could do under the circumstances that she was given, and she is a demon for it? Nasty work.

And now I'm convinced they handle spin-offs very well.
See, Netflix stays pissing me off like GIVE US THE FRED/EDWINA & MADAME SAPPHIC SPINOFFS YOU COWARDS
Nasty work.
I want Edwina and Fridrik!
Me too!
Edwina/friedrich are the Bridgerton Eowyn/Faramir ship that we deserve.
