I own a black version and I love it a lot. Also like the oversized case which was very rare in those days. On my watch the lume plots have become creamy which is awesome in my opinion. Its a rare watch nowadays but remains in my collection for sure. Citizen is an underrated brand as their quality is awesome and compared to Seiko it certainly is not the underdog.
I was on the fence at first, the proportions are so un-Seiko-like that it took me back a bit. But the watch has seriously grown on me. Not just the legibility and comfort in wearing, but the unreal accuracy. Hand-winding is very nice too. If it hacked and I had a new crystal, it'd perfect. I can even live without the hacking.
Hey, Spencer, don't know if you're still monitoring this older video for comments (especially since you've got this watch listed for sale currently), but just in case...I was recently very lucky to obtain a correct NOS acrylic crystal for my 1969 4-520343 Y Citizen and, since I have the original Citizen parts tag, I can answer your question about the crystal part number: 54-01450. It took me literally years to find this part, so good luck!
@@SpencerKleinVintageWatch I bought mine from a private seller who posted about having a few on the Vintage Citizen Watches Facebook group. I'll email you with details. But a Google search on the part number brings up a few potentially promising hits that might be worth investigating; I never got that far because I didn't know the correct reference until mine arrived in is original sealed Citizen packaging with it on there.
Very nice. I have 2. Black dial and sliver dial. IMHO, very under valued when compared with Seiko of similar vintage era. Tons of value here.

Appreciate this video. You rarely hear about vintage Citizen (or Orient for that matter) so it’s nice to see.
Really lovely model!

Very amazing. Im so fascinated by what you do. That watch is so cool
It's nifty, there's no doubt.
Very cool watch! Thanks for sharing.
Great work. beautiful watch. I'd love to hear your thoughts on new/vintage Orient watches. keep up the good work.
I'd be happy to, but I don't own any or have any in here to review.
Would have been nice to see the accuracy results.

Hi MIchael, that's great! And yes, I monitor all comments so thank you. So, where'd you get the crystal? Who has it?

Love your videos! I have an saeh007 with the 6s28, is this something you could service for me?
Now the hunt for the rarer blue, silver and red versions is on!
Do you judge watches by their movements?
If you don't mind me asking, if i happen to find one for sale, what would be a fair price to pay for it?
That's a beauty and my birth year.
Very interesting..
Very Cool.
Just like that the prices on eBay skyrocket
Ha! If ever any are listed for sale, that is.
You may already have come across this but for those that haven't
