Still can't believe a few years ago I went to see them with the orchestra. I was looking for the venue, then I stopped to ask for info to this group on the street, but then... It turns out one of the blokes was their manager and a girl gave me a backstage pass! I got to meet Noémie and the lads after the concert... I was the luckiest Brazilian on Earth that night!
What I love about Eurovision is that you find artists you'd otherwise never have heard of. Immediately after the announcement that Hooverphonic I listened to their music and I already love it.
This band is really famous. They already excisted for 25 years not always the same singers. They are really famous in Europe and USA. Listen to mad about you.

Premiere fois que je vois hooverphonic faire de la variété, moi qui adore leur mélodies enivrantes le son particulier de la guitare et leur batteur incroyable et leurs anciennes chanteuses avec des personnalités et voix particulieres, j'étais complètement fou de noemie surtout avec le concert symphonique incroyable et un jeu de musiciens à tomber , vivement qu'ils puissent refaire des morceaux plus personnel et pas juste des accompagnements musicaux pour chanteuse de variété

Many years ago I was looking for good downtempo/triphop music band. I was listening to Morcheeba, Portishead, Sneaker pimps, Bjork etc. I googled "trip hop band woman voice". And I found Hooverphonic. It was like a drug. I downloaded every album they did. Every album is unique. Geike has a velvet voice. Live album with orchestra is amazing. In Wonderland is completely different. I love it. My favourite. And now Lukka. She´s so cute, so young, nice voice. Hooverphonic is not only Geike, Sometimes, Eden.
I see your point. Still, the songwriting (And by that I mean a strong and unique melody, out of the ordinary harmony, dissonant passages, luch chorus...) has decreased noticeably. This radio oriented adolescent poppy songs may be nice now that they are new, but will be forgotten soon. Previous work is still very good indeed. Oh well...
