Wow, I use to listen to this song every night on the opening of night 🌙 watch on family radio 📻. The host Jerry Edinger used to quote lovely spiritual saying during the middle of the song. That brother was a tremendous spiritual blessing on the radio 📻 airwaves. It helped sooth the spiritual soul after a long busy day on planet earth 🌏
Pray for Jerry Edinger. He lost his wife, Sally about a year ago. I'm not sure of his exact age but his walk of faith is much nearer to the destination. Pray for his walk with God that, like Enoch, he might walk so much closer each day, that one day he will just walk into the full presence of God. I never listened to Family Radio. In fact, I’m Catholic. But I was fortunate enough to discover this song through a recording that included a short snippet of Family Radio’s Nightwatch program. What a lovely song!
I wondered since I was about 12 years old (1972) who this song was by. I would hear it each weeknight on "Nightwatch" with Jerry Edinger on Family Radio. Finding who the artist is has now caused me all these years later to listen to the other Otis Skillings recordings. I've been stuck on the "Life" and "Love" albums for about two months now! I am LOVING the music on those projects! Although these recordings are 50+ years old, they are "new" to me as I had not heard them before; they are timeless! Thanks and God bless you for posting such blessed music!
In my relentless life I heard this wonderful song by chance from a christian radio in the US where I was taking my graduate course… So comforting and still it is! Thank you for posting this song!!
