    This is the first video I have found, that is actually showing how to use the piping bag. Everyone else just talk about the tip not the use of the bag.
    I never knew that you should constantly push down and twist that makes it so much easier.
    Thank you for taking the time to make this video.

    Becky, Thank You sooo much for your full explanation of how to use a piping bag and the tips. I usually learn most things the best by doing with a teacher ( hands on) but your tutorial was great and you were thorough in explaining. You are a great teacher !!!!🤗

    I know this is an old video but wow. So informative! Definitely the most helpful I’ve seen. Thank you for going into such depth. Starting is intimidating when other tutorials are so vague. Also thank you for being so considerate in mentioning arthritis. I have EDS which means my joints are very weak and painful. Thank you!!!💖

    Hi, what are the best piping bags you have found to date?
    I only use them on occasion and don't need 1000's of them,
    but I don't want something that is junk.
    Thanks and God bless you.

    I am very warm blooded. The cream melts in my hands when I put my hands on the piping bag. The cream comes out more moisty and creamy as I would want it to be… can you please suggest what I can do or use to make the decorations manageable

    • @IcingOnTopBeckysCakes
      @IcingOnTopBeckysCakes  2 роки тому +2

      I would use two bags and place one bag in the fridge while piping with the other. When your bag starts to get warm, place it in the fridge and use the cooler one until it gets warm. I would just alternate between the two bags to keep them cool.

    Great video!! I was using the can bettercreamans it is always to soft. Is there any way I can make that thicker?

    • @IcingOnTopBeckysCakes
      @IcingOnTopBeckysCakes  2 роки тому

      Thank you! Yeah, can buttercream can be a bit too soft for piping. Most regular buttercream you can add a bit more confectioners sugar to make it thicker but can buttercream is already very sweet. Here’s my simple American Buttercream recipe if you want to try that ua-cam.com/video/wkzg3FGvbwM/v-deo.html

    How do you keep the big tip from coming out while you are squeezing it

    • @IcingOnTopBeckysCakes
      @IcingOnTopBeckysCakes  2 роки тому

      Make sure that you cut the hole in your bag so that the tip is no more than halfway out of it. If you cut the hole too big the tip will pop out when you squeeze.

    • @IcingOnTopBeckysCakes
      @IcingOnTopBeckysCakes  2 роки тому +1

      I should also mention that not all piping bags are created equal. Cheaper bags tend to be thinner and break more easily and not hold their shape.

      exactly what I found out recently, although I have been decorating for years..I bought a cheaper version and whoops..tip out so I threw them away. I know you can use those bags without the tips and just cut across end but....

    • @IcingOnTopBeckysCakes
      @IcingOnTopBeckysCakes  4 місяці тому

      You can buy a larger coupler if you want for the larger tips or you can just cut the hole in the bag and snuggly fit the large tip in without the coupler.
