What a life. What a talent. Wow. You'll never see another Frank Sinatra.
Really sad to realize that most, - maybe 80 to 90 % of the people at this tribute are now gone. BUT FRANK DESERVES THIS TRIBUTE, and he will never ever ever be forgotten.
Alas, by now they've all gone. A sad reunion, that was.

Ella Fitzgerald's voice was still amazing! Yet, she died 2 years before him! I believed she had survived him. Time flies.
This was an extremely special moment for the both Father and Son. I'm sure Frank felt it as he was touched by his Sons amazing performance of the song. I too felt it as if i was there. Seeing Frank heavy with emotions is tough as a man because we are taught to carry the weight of the load and not crack under the pressure. God bless everyone in this picture and everyone at home today, Love all your close ones tight.

I started crying at the part with the song "Our Love Is Here To Stay", when Frank Sinatra started getting teary eyed. I've seen him imitating crying in movies, but I've never actually seen him cry. Also the fact that Frank Jr was always singing on behalf of Nancy and Tina Sinatra (Frank Sinatra's daughters), which was very sweet. I have never cried so hard at a video.
What a touching moment when Frank Sinatra Jr. sings for his Dad on behalf of all the siblings and Frank wells up and cries. And what a cheerful, fun and love-filled tribute from the friends and colleagues. Also I love Frank Sinatra´s funny, and inspiring speech! -- He definitely wasn´t drunk at all Mr. Gordon, not even a tad.
@Carl Ferrigno He had to stop both mainly because he had been on severe medication for many years in order to even out his mood, as Barbara asked him to do. Taking that medication for over a decade was in large part responsible for his memory loss and other health issues as his late manager Eliot Weisman described in his book "The Way it was" (2017).
Frank Jr sounds chillingly like his pop.

Frank was clearly an AMAZING TALENT and a man with a very generous heart. Same can be said of the late Danny Thomas.

gregory peck was a regular dinner guest at the Sinatra home.....though it was very rare that Frank would ever attend those dinners....usually he was in the train room playing with his train collection....but it certainly is true that NO ONE in entertainment history has raised more money for charity than Sinatra who many dont know paid all expenses out of his pocket for these charity shows......which is why jerry lewis called him "the most generous man on earth".....

Frank and Dean both said that Angie was the best lay they ever had.
At the time this happened Frank was 72 going on to be 73, while Frank Jr was just 44. Still his voice was shaky and he couldn't sustain the notes. I think his father was crying because he felt sorry for him. Here, I've said it, I'm sorry.

This needs clarification:. The "75" refers to the 75th Anniversary of the 1907 establishment of the town of Beverly Hills, not Sinatra's 75th birthday (1987). The 1907 date was when the first house was built in BH. This event is variously referred to as taking place in 1988 and 1989. Since his birthday was December 12, 1912 maybe it was held in 1988. Original newspaper clippings would confirm the actual date...I don't have access to the files.
Frank Sinatra's Birthday was December 12, 1915. Beverly Hills was incorporated in 1914 according to Wiki.

Sinatra was the most iconic singer, interpreter of a song and at the time of this homage, he was at superstar status. He was quoted as saying he is an 18 karat manic depressive. He did give millions to charities and was loyal to many of his friends and helped many people. The same man could be cruel, spiteful and mean spirited to people that loved him. Being a Sinatra fan and the stories I’ve heard, had I had the opportunity to see him walk by in a hotel lobby, I wouldn’t dare go up to him to say hello or praise him in fear of having him be in a bad mood. I could of seriously been hurt by one of his body guards. For that reason, I love Sinatra but would never dare to approach him while he was alive.

Sinatra could be good as gold. But he could also be labile. His mood could changte in a flash and he could ruin you. He could also hold a grudge forever. Many with good cause. Others were petty.

This isn't 1994 nor Frank's 80th. It's 1988 and Frank is approaching 73. He'd been unwell and on steroids (hence weight) and was obviously a tad drunk this night.

Not possible.....Lucille Ball died in April '89 and she is seen in this audience. However his 75th birthday was in 1990, so this is a bit confusing.

And there's gold-digger Barbara, flashing her expensive ring at 8:51!! Well, although just arm-candy initially, she at least gave him company in his last years so he didn't have to be alone. FS Jr, inherited a bit of the tone of his dad, but his terrible wobbly vibrato/tremolo was NOT his dad's! Nancy Jr. got all the vocal genes in that family! But Jr. tried at least.

Why call Frank’s wife Barbara a gold digger? How unoriginal and prejudice. She loved him very much and was very very devoted to him. She took incredible care of him in his old age, waiting on him. She ended up leaving the greatest legacy on his behalf through her children’s hospital in Palm Springs with the Sinatra name. None of his three children left anywhere near that kind of meaningful legacy to society on his behalf.
I think she was a gold digger, but I think she went through a lot. He would have explosive fits of anger sometimes, and she gave it right back to him. Books I've read, stated that they were going to divorce in the 1980's, but it would actually be cheaper just to stay married. In the end though, it seems she was going out to events, while he was either bedridden or in a wheel chair. And then not calling her daughters when Frank had his fatal heart attack, that is a really low move.
