MIA Bacalar (not so) Luxury Hotel Review - Is it good for families with kids?

- Bacalar in Yucatan is famous for its crystal clear blue waters, chill vibe, and great food. We decided to spent our New Years in Bacalar and we chose MIA as our hotel. We stayed there with two toddlers (three and four years old).
In this video we will show you if MIA met our expectations, and if it is good for kids.
We are talking about our experience with food, the New Years Eve celebration, their beach, cleanliness, and over all customer service.
This hotel gets great reviews but there are thing that should be improved and you should watch this video before booking a room at MIA.

Thank you :) We think that the understaffed and overworked employees take all the heat while the manager is afraid of a confrontation. It is unfortunate but we are grateful we were able to see Bacalar. Saludos!

Does not seem like a place that is worth the money. Looks like it was built to roughly 4 star standards, but the service and cleanliness is a 2, at best. But at 5 star prices! Can't blame them for the wind though, that's just a bummer.

Unfortunately overpriced so called luxury hotel resorts are a Bacalar thing which is such a shame given how beautiful the lake is!
it is a beautiful place. We really enjoyed our time in Bacalar.
You guys should not travel, if you can't handle the bumps in the road. I bet you have this trouble everywhere?

My experience was less successful. The balcony fell apart and I fell down. I was injured and my trip was ruined. Very dangerous hotel, don't go there😡😫

OMG,, That was nasty,,That food looked like vomit,,I would not feed that crap to my dog.....just nasty gross,,should have gone to a cheap hotel or if there was a Riu around,,I feel so sad for you what a experiance
Oh man it was so gross! Haha that made us chuckle :) we wouldn't feed it to our dogs either ! Love Riu but Bacalar is so small doesn't have big hotels but this hot actually is listed as number one in Bacalar so we wanted to give it a whirl :) thanks for the comment 🤗
