Actually, he was meant to be 16. Noah said it had been five years but actually it was only two years because Season 1 - 4 was only four months. So Season 1 - 3 takes place in the same year, Season 4 in the following year and Season 5-7 in the next year (since they lost Regionals in Season 4).
