I agree. I have put 50,000 miles plus on ours , including 3 trips from Florida to the Northeast and back in all kinds of weather and all kinds of roads....not just I-95. The car is bulletproof. Simply put....it has to be THE safest vehicle to drive in deep, driving, pooling rain, and to my amazement....it has higher ground clearance than most of it's direct competition.....and THE highest among all of it's AWD competition. Of course....there are "armchair fuel experts" out there, but I am a High octane gas believer, and mysteriously, I average 24 mpg. around town and using the Cruise control.....28 to 30 mpg. religiously using high test. There MUST be something to it. Enough said. Completely agree.....it is THE most underrated AWD SUV out there......especially when it comes to safety. Would we buy another one? Funny you should ask. YES! We're about to actually! It's just a great car.
I bought one 3 weeks ago. No off road yet, but loving it so far.
Nice video. The Ascent is the most underrated SUV on the market. Hands down!

Wow! The Subaru Ascent was acting like a 4Runner off road. Great video, thanks!
Thanks! I’m looking for the same one but I prefer the two rows of seats!
The forester...
I wonder how rubber bandy the transmission feels?
The onyx is th3 best.
Does the vehicle develop a rattle after driving through rough roads, gravel roads?
Certainly wouldn't call that Off-Roading, my WRX on street wheels and tires has been up more challenging terrain no problem.
I have a 2020 ascent with 65,000 miles- no rattles! Plenty of gravel and dirt roads with washboard and pot holes, but no rock crawling!
