That's a good question ma... we have worked with many measurements over 25 years and find that 1" Shoulder slope works for most body types when it comes to drafting close neck. Since its difficult to cover everything through youtube videos, I discuss the shoulder types and the appropriate shoulder slope to our students through our live classes.
Hi Mam, if we want the shoulder width to be thin, so if we reduce the shoulder width to 2 inch, then neck width will get increased know, so neck will become loose and shoulders will fall down? Or we need to do any adjustments?

Hi Ma’am, My back neck is 2” and shoulder slope 3/4”.front neck is 7”, slope 1/2” so I adjust the shoulder by-half an inch in front . When I done this the front armhole curve is not matching. It’s coming an extra 1/2”. Please advise.
You have to bring up the chest line by 1/4 " on the front and back patterns ma and try accommodating the armhole again. If the armhole is more by 1/4", it is ok, ma.
@rajaniajith these adjustments are so common when doing patterns... so don't get scared... you will start understanding the more you keep practicing 👍🏼
