Bubble Tea

In this teen-powered virtual companion project to the Resetting the Table exhibit at Harvard University’s Peabody Museum, local teens add images, animation about Latino/a/x foodways, and commentary to the virtual gallery in both English and Spanish.
This tea-based drink also called boba originated in Taiwan in the early 1980s and is a favorite of Chelsea resident Valery Crayton. It consists of tea mixed with chewy tapioca balls, but it can be made with other toppings as well.

Este tour virtual hecho por jóvenes y adolescentes acompaña la exhibición Resetting the Table en el museo Peabody de la Universidad de Harvard. Jóvenes de ciudades vecinas al museo han añadido imágenes, comentarios y animaciones en español e inglés sobre comida y hábitos alimenticios presentes en sus familias Latinas.
Esta bebida en base a té es originaria de Taiwan, inventada a principios de la década de 1980 es la bebida favorita de Valery Crayton. Consiste en té mezclado con bolas de tapioca, y se puede preparar con distintas especies.
