@@RickL_was_here I agree. Vinny, even though his game has improved 90% under Coff, he just doesn't seem to be able to think the game. And, he seems to have problems with his positional play. To be fair to Nurse, Nurse isn't the problem if he has a D-partner doing his job. So, if I was coach, I'd sit Vinny. Not Nurse.

Darnell Nurse: 9.25 million USD and is a -12. Might as well have Broberg instead. Unfortunately they oilers will make the same excuse and say they need to play a full 60 and fail to do so.
There's no way Broberg has a worse than -12 if he started the playoffs in Nurse's place. Darnell is pretty much just unplayable right now.

Insert back Macleod for Ryan, and insert Broberg for Vinny or Nurse. Maybe consider Pickard for Skinner just to give Skinner a rest, and maybe to wake up the defense.

I thought the Oilers came out and played brilliantly in the first period. However, in the second, they made a few mistakes and didn’t seem fully engaged for some reason. The third period was especially hard to watch; it seemed like they'd given up and weren’t even trying for a win. I don’t blame any single player for the game, but the entire team is at fault for those last two periods. Despite this, I wholeheartedly believe the Oilers can play a good hockey game going into game four, and if they can continue to play well, they'll bring the cup back to Edmonton. It would be nice to see Pickard start in game four and to see an improvement in the team's overall defense....

Playoff oilers meltdown returns, playoff Skinner returns to brutal goaltending again. Drai was a ticking time bomb in the d zone, if I hear another oilers coach answer why you didn’t take your timeout we managed the tv timeouts.
Jekkyl and Hyde team. You’d think they would learn by now that 20 minutes of effort doesn’t win you a game in the regular season, let alone in the third round of the playoffs. I’d have called a timeout the moment Dallas made it 2-1. They looked lost and were skating in molasses . I was optimistic about the series, but they’re repeating the same behaviour that lost them the series against Vegas last year. It’s upsetting to watch.

Disclaimer: I was unable to listen to anything beyond the first period. I have medical stuff Tuesday early and Nurses were Nurses. First period was great. Second period we were all tied up after a late Henrique goal (nice to see Rico back and scoring). Third period was, ah, a problem. I don't know why Edmonton pulls their goalie, the opposition just gets an empty netter because our defenders seem to ignore the goal and are gotten around like pylons (sigh). Robertson got a hat trick. Heiskanen got the empty netter. Johnson also scored. Just looking at the stats, Edmonton shot more, hit a LOT more, had 7 fewer blocks and 10 fewer Takeaways. Everything else is really a wash. Both PP's at 0%. Both PK's at 100%. Take care all.

First period the cowboys were a little impressed of the stadium and the audience forgot playing hockey and so we do two goals. Two nothing is a very good start and 10:3 shooting also. But what the hell is the staff thinking about the rest of the game???!!! That the cowboys would love to be killed in from of 20 thousand crazy fans??!! So normaly the main position is to play hard on defense and fire check in order to destroy their play! What did we do? Defense wanted to score the game winner, nobody plays defense, nobody helps Skinner to clear his slot!!!

Is it so easy to beat us, to mark McD and Drai and that's it??!!! Come on it is a final, not the big one but one before. The cowboys were the best on the road team in the league, how could the staff didn't realize it??? Variation on Powerplay, no existent, what the hell are you thinking? That no staff will recognized it to play on Drai and goal. Hyman doesn't move anywhere from his post position RNH has no good shot, Bouchard Always wanted to be the hero, what is it??? The team must be the hero!! Oh I am really angry seeing such a shit for 40 minutes! Have no words. Spending the hole night in front of my HD TV without any chance to do something, that's terrible!
It isn't the goalie, it is the mentality of the team and the staff. Offense is for show, defense wins championships!!! It is a wise sentence, needs discipline and not a great ego! For the staff show more enthusiasm, shout sometimes, throw a bottle on the ice!! DO SOMETHING TO MAKE THEM GO!!!
And please let McD and Drai not do the hole things on ice, they do double or triple stints and we are estonished that they make faults. And don't changed every game the lines, makes no sense!

This was reminiscent of game 1 with Vancouver..come out like gangbusters and then shit the bed..Nurse was a joke and others not far behind,
played like they had a stick up their ass..Skins out Pick in next game..Someone smack Knob across the head for pulling Skinner so early yet again.
The Oilers will lose this series if the coach keeps playing Skinner. He cannot handle the pressure…Don’t make the same mistake woodcroft made last year against Vegas
Fizzled out after like 10 minutes, then the same old classic can always seem to count on, can only score with one or more of the best players on the ice, defensive breakdowns and mediocre goaltending. I don't think letting the other team move the puck freely not pressuring them is a good thing and standing there like lawn ornaments screening your own goalie.
Next game the Oilers will tie the series,then the 5th game we'll see the no push no energy Oilers and Stars win,then 6th game Oilers will be on fire again and tie the series,which will take us to game 7..the plan from the start..keep the money wheel turning.
Put a fork in them they're done. Watching Bouchard again watch that empty netter fly right by him as he gets out of the way is classic loser mentality. Last game and this game, he won't put his body on the line for the team. Oilers are all finished.
Does edm leaders abiltiy to lead n really have that killer instincts when up such as say kobe or jordan stomp on their throats mentality . That mindset that they r assassin like. We see it here and there. Like game 6 against van. . Not sure they have that consistent in high leverage games. Dallas knows they have that lapse of 12-15 mins and they go for the kill n can win the game in that span.
