I love your videos. Thanks for making them.
I just want to add a comment to this video.
There are a legend component that does what i think you are talking about. Make a legend and go to annotate. Then click component drop down meny and select Legend component. Choose the wall or what ever you want and place it in the legend. Just add a text or make a tag text and tag it.
A legend that automatic changes if you change the wall (and text if you are using tags).

    1. Generic Model Family "Material Legend Component": Box with material parameter, load into Project 2. In project, make duplicates of family types, name them by Material Code: PT01, PT02.. 3. Place Legend Components (as mentioned in post below) of Family's applicable types into Legend View (Plan or elevation view) 4. In Legend View, Tag components with Material Tags. 5. Populate Revit Material Type Marks with material codes (1st tab in material editor). 6. Note, material Tags in Legend View may have to be nudged to update. 7. Bam! Instantly better documents and less fear in applying more paint colors to your project! 8. This method works best for Building elevations (which can also use material Tags) as boxes are all the same dimension, but even the box dimensions could be tweaked using type parameters to suit each material.

question; why all that trouble. Use annotate - component - Legend component, place in this example) all the wall types you want and that’s all. That way you use the exact type that’s in your project, and you don’t have to work backwards, to accomplish something that is already there. Just saying. But anyway, your tutorials are great, and thanks for you time and afford. 👊✅ all best

Hello sir, I have a problem. I made a legend and I have electrical panels in the plan with different colors. How do these colors appear in the legend (electrical panel for generator-powered equipment, half red and half white)

Would it be possible to create a hidden gutter and pipe system within the wall makeup

Yes just draw separate walls and gutter on the inside wall or choose a plane inside of the wall

@@seamusriley4503 terrible in the wrong hands ;)
Yes it isn't great at geometrical tasks and application dev is faster but it's a great starting point, and is handy for workflow automation.
