- Because of the positive reaction we received to the previous video we posted about Minister Arthur Evans, we wanted to share a bit more from his life, legacy, and heart.
On November 25th, my father, Arthur S. Evans Sr., entered into the presence of His Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, with his funeral being this past Tuesday in Baltimore. In honor of his life and memory, we wanted to share this never-before-seen footage where I got to sit down with him and ask him some heartfelt questions about life, God, wisdom, and being a kingdom man. Dr. Tony Evans is the founder and senior pastor of Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship in Dallas, founder, and president of The Urban Alternative and author of over 100 books, booklets, and Bible studies. The first African American to earn a doctorate of theology from Dallas Theological Seminary, he has been named one of the 12 Most Effective Preachers in the English-Speaking World by Baylor University. Dr. Evans holds the honor of writing and publishing the first full-Bible commentary and study Bible by an African American. His radio broadcast, The Alternative with Dr. Tony Evans, can be heard on over 1,400 radio outlets daily and in more than 130 countries. Dr. Evans’ sermons are also streamed and downloaded over 20,000,000 times annually.

You were blessed to have your dad in the home, as a child. You were blessed to be taught the word of the living God by your dad! What a blessing to grow up learning about God from your parents! The seeds of the word of God grew and multiplied in your life and ministry! You are a blessed Man of God! This is a beautiful legacy of faith!

Arthur Evans reminds me of my own father; I lost him ten years ago. It's a blessing when you have a loving father who cares. I learned how to sing from my father; he used to sing to me all of the time, especially on Sunday mornings on our way to church.

Mrs Belinda I agree with you everyday God bless me to wake up seems like a battle to me I'm 46 and I had a massive heart attack and stroke in my sleep five years ago and turned around and had two open heart surgeries so God is keeping me here for a reason I just don't know it yet stay blessed and have a wonderful evening
Something how Tony looks like his dad when his dad was younger and now that his dad is older he doesn’t look like him anymore but what a wonderful age to be and in the Lord 💕💞💕

Pastor Evans I first heard you at Promise Keepers years ago and have read a number of your books and in my travels through the text this area I've also searched for you on radio stations as I would be passing through.

This is so beautiful. I love seeing his roots and hearing about his upbringing with dad. So glad I was raised in a strong Christian home and I'm still living for the Lord today and always! So many left the church when they got grown because they thought they were somehow free, not knowing they were leaving their protection and covering. I never left the church because I have no desire for the things of the world, not leaving my covering to become a slave to sin.

I've known the Evans family since about 1973 and I've NEVER met Pastor Evan's father. I lived in Oak Cliff for many years too. Smh.
