Great video Jeffery. I actually own this tripod and am very pleased with it. One thing that may be helpful to mention in your review that I didn't see... When completely "stowing" the tripod for travel, the center tube should be extended to the full up position prior to folding the collapsed legs up against the ball head. The ball head can be rotated slightly by loosening the panning knob to allow the legs the "snuggest" possible fit. This is a great travel tripod and I would definitely recommend it as well.

My children just gave me the RoadTrip for Christmas. Your review was good confirmation that I can replace my big Manfrotto 055 with this for airplane-based trips. BTW: The new RoadTrip comes with a really neat cell phone holder and a table top tripod in the center column
The MeFoto has (and still) serves me well. It is tough tripod, well-built, plenty stable and folds down nice and small. I'll have to take a look at the new RoadTrips!
There is a little bit of a debate on this! Some sites say it is removable, but initially very tight and hard to remove. The MeFoto has been a good tripod to me. It still sees regular use - though I do wish I had gone carbon fiber with it for the weight savings!
