Hi! Vickie, thank you very much for this nice video of beautiful Banana Island. Some of the Sierra Leonean tourists were absolutely right when they said the island's ruins needs to be preserved in a better way and needs some kind of precise history information which will help generation after generation to better understand Sierra Leone History. In my view, if The Government or The Ministry Of Tourism takes more action by organizing all of Sierra Leone's historical places in a much better way, they will really get the return by seeing many tourists coming to visit these historical places and even to learn more about the Culture. I was born in Kenema town and raised in Freetown. Although I live abroad now, my heart and eyes are always in Sierra Leone. Keep the good work Vickie, you are doing very well for Salone.. Tenki. May God Bless Sierra Leone and all Sierra Leoneans.

5 years of my life!from 198o to 1985. Y was there in casino Leone like supervisor..now am in Kenya.if y have chanse to comeback to Sierra Leone y am very happy.always in my heart.beutiful people and fantastic beach, like Lumley beach number to tokey.
Hi Vickie, Firstly this country is amazing, i spent 2 years there in the early 2000,s. I love it, i miss it and i wish i never left. I must also say that your beautiful.
Ahh, the memories. I spent two weeks there in 1980 at Christmas. It was very different then. No other tourists and the only transport was on the mail boat twice a week.
All these areas supposed to be for historical scene and should be well restructured for tourism and education purposes for generations now and yet unborn. Ghana for example.
Something needs to put in place in Banana Island ,I really don't know what the Government of Sierra Leone is doing especially the ministry of tourism.you guys need to wake up and put structures in place I believe this Island can bring income to the Country.
Great show! I am a little taken aback by your use of the word “slaves” to call the Africans who were kidnapped, on the process to be inhumanly uprooted from their home land for the Americas. These kidnapped Africans were NOT slaves! These were kidnapped as they were not born slaves. Please let’s use a better terminology to properly call them.
