At this point, I'm choosing to believe she doesn't know how to do any song the same way twice. Because I still try to sing along with the studio version in my head, but Ms Keen is always like "Nah!" 💀
@@novakgoatovic LOL go listen to original then it's that simple. She's letting herself improvise, which is one of the few ways an artiste can have fun. If you have a problem this performance you're just a hater, check yourself
Haha yes, she has trained insanely to be able to sing like this. I have seen a singer trying to cover it. She had to train on a treadmill just to cover this
I can respect your opnion but dont agree. I dont think this version would have got the radio play like the original. But I appreciate how she's always transforming her music which is how 5 star hotel became a favorite of mine. I think the live version she did on Steven Coberts show was the best version of Escapism I've seen thus far.
@@InsertBeautyHere me too. I might sound like a biotchh lol because I’m a girls girl always but part of me feels selfish and wants to keep her more secret. That’s just honest. But with her talent. She deserves SOOOO much more. It’s unbelievable…
You can tell when an artist writes their own music and has a hand in the production because being able to switch up a popular song every time is a SKILL!
I'm a massive Raye fan. She's only one of a handful of artists who's performances are just mesmerising to watch. Each performance is different - intentionally so. Her mastery of music is insane. Her passion for having real instruments and not recorded backing tracks. Real singers encouraged to perform to the very best that they can and the end results are like watching a full opera of emotions. All the while staying grounded to get London roots, singing in her London accent. Her sheer joy of performing is infectious and electric.
This performance is not wasted, from the dark and dramatic beginning, to the incorporation of the orchestra for each stanza, and without a doubt, her voice: RAYE is a Queen ❤
@@Boba-xc2pcbefore you start insulting others you should keep in mind that people talk differently on the internet, her comment was obviously her showing how in awe of her vocals she was
I’ve never seen or heard of her before today, but this was INTENSE! Full body chills the whole performance. Felt like I was going through it with her. Amazing!!
Raye was featured in a PVRIS song a couple years ago and I instantly became obsessed with the song because of Raye’s voice, it’s incredible to see how far she’s come and even better to see that she’s getting the recognition she deserves. Such talent 💙
This is absolutely incredible. Often I find myself feeling sorry for the orchestra or band who has to go on stage with horrible singers. But this here makes me so happy because everybody can shine and together it creates something phenomenal that will be cherrished for decades to come.
Man. I barely listen to her actual songs but overwhelming and struggle to leave every time watching her shows. She’s worth the world to see live. Her talking between songs also such a charm that undeniably brings you closer like you’re her actual friend. I knew her like from her Brit Awards that was one of the most impressive suggestions from awards shows ever.
Holy crap the breath control and jazzy vibes and energy is amazing. She truly deserves the success. A true talent and huge Amy Winehouse vibes while also making it her own. ❤️✨
She is greatness! A true artist! That control, yet freedom of her voice and her jazzy style. I'm blown away. I love this version more than original, more jazzy.... More soulful. It hits me, I relate 100%
I don't think it's a mystery how Raye is always backed by extremely talented musicians and singers. Imagine getting that call, "It's Raye, will you make some music with me? I'll send you some tracks..."
Holy Cow that was Amazing!! She brought every bit of it. I’m so excited for her! That applause at the end and I can only imagine they were standing and then that big smile on her face! Shine on Sister!! ✨💙
Holy cow this version is unreal!!!! 😲 Raye you are a legend and I am so happy that you are getting noticed overseas. You deserve this. Looking fabulous and happy ❤️👑
Raye doing a different rendition in every single performance is absolutelly insane
and they are ALL amazing. she is so freaking good and one of the few outside of Prince who sounds better live
yes its insaneeeee

I love it I wish more artists did different renditions of a song still in their style.
It’s something Amy did as well. I could only imagine her and Amy making music together 🥹
Mark my words:
she is absolutely perfect for the next 007 theme song
she is even too good for Bond ;)
Omg yes please someone make this happen!!!!
Yes, yes, yes
Perfect!
She is and she's British too to top if off
How she makes this song sound like a new song every time is phenomenal
nah it actually sucks. everybody WANTS ORIGINAL VERSION!!!!!!!!!!!! this sucks.

seriously, she is a whole new genre by herself. Her live versions are insane and the band together? amazing work
