  • We spoke with Kevin Lynch, Academic Psychology Tutor at IBAT College Dublin. Kevin shared his experiences of IBAT and talks about the psychology topics he teaches such as cognitive psychology and abnormal psychology.
    Kevin did his undergraduate in marketing and psychology. He also studied for a master’s in applied psychology where he worked in a cognitive psychology lab and focused on projects based on antidepressant treatment response.
    Students on the course come from a range of different academic backgrounds, from people in business to those who have worked in care homes or nursing and want to know more about people and why they behave the way they do.
    The course covers an introduction to psychology as well as more focused areas like mental psychology, abnormal psychology and cognitive psychology. The lectures include real-world examples and will look at the complications involved with visual perceptions and brain behavior. The course also looks at therapy and therapeutic practices and covers the fundamentals of social psychology. He also talks about how the course is taught and delivered at IBAT College.
