The Boston Red Sox and Tim Wakefield, RIP. The reason is my father was a diehard Sox fan and always complained about their pitching. He was not a fan of knuckleballers. He vexed him that Wakefield always stepped up when they needed him. Always just shook his head and said, "A knuckleballer!?!?" Sadly, we lost my father in 2001, and I'm sure he would have been tore up by the homerun to Boone. Watched the comeback and the World Series the next year and really wished I could have seen his face and asked him what he thought of the knuckleballer now that he was a Champ?
I've been the HoF several times and LOVE it. We're going again later this month!!! I've been to the Hockey and Football HoFs, but Cooperstown just blows them away. It's SO good (and the town is so cool to explore). Favourite team: Cleveland Guardians - we've been season tix holders going on 10 years now (and before you ask, I like the new name, but still have my old Chief Wahoo tattoo LOL) Favourite player: Mickey Mantle. I was a little kid when he retired but with a Yankees fan dad and living in NYC... The man was our IDOL. The day he died, stores all over the city put "CLOSED DUE TO DEATH IN THE FAMILY" signs with his picture on their doors... ...and since you're a Tigers fan - my favourite MiLB team is the Toledo Mud Hens; we go to a bunch of games every year since moving to Ohio, especially around or on my birthday (love the new life-sized Klinger bobblehead they installed!). Love going to Tigers games in Detroit, because the fans there treat us as well and awesome as we treat Tigers fans at Guardians games.
Favorite team is The Tigers and Favorite player of all time is Alan Trammell. Not only was he good both offensive and defensively, but he was also very down to earth and never had an ego. He came to play and he was /is a very cool guy off the field as well.
I haven't made it yet to the MLB HOF. it is on my list and I was hoping to do it after visiting all the MLB parks. Not sure that's the way to go now, but we'll see. Thanks for the cool tour! Looking forward to getting the season going again!!
Thanks for the Tour, Erynn. My Team is The St. Louis Cardinals. My Player is Stan ‘The Man’ Musial . . . He Truly Was ‘THE MAN’. ⚾️ #BecauseBaseball ⚾️
Well Erynn here's what happened... back in 1968, I was nine years old. In the summer, we took a trip from Lethbridge AB down to Great Falls Mt and went to the Holiday Village shopping mall. At the Montgomery Wards there was a big color television display and it was the first time I'd seen color television! So, it's Saturday afternoon and there's a baseball game on TVs and I sat and watched the Oakland A's at the Detroit Tigers and Norm Cash hit one into the right field bleachers and he became my favorite player instantly. The Tigers went on to win the World Series that year and I was very excited to become a Detroit Tiger fan at that age and I've been a Tiger fan ever since. We're going to the playoffs this year!
My favorite team is the Dodgers and favorite player is Fernando Valenzuela. “Fernandomania”!was quite a sensation and stadiums were selling out all over the country when Fernando would pitch. Not only did he win Rookie of the Year and the Cy Young awards in 1981, but he also batted .250 and had a .543 OPS!
Thank you Erynn, so cool to see that place!! I might get there one day, don't have any need/want to leave Mt. at this point though;) I'm so ready for the boys of summer to get back to work. Nice break from winter and thank you again.
My favorite team is the Baltimore Orioles and my favorite player of all time is Brooks Robinson. He had the most Gold Glove Awards ever for a position player.
Been there 2 times. Highly recommend. One of the vendors on the strip has a portrait of Jeter so large, you couldn't fit it in your front door. I recall they wanted 3 grand for it in 2015. Is it still there??

This was excellent. Well done, Erynn. I'll almost certainly never make it out there, so this is the closest I'll get-- experiencing it in virtuality.
My favorite team is the Baltimore Orioles and my favorite player of all time is Brooks Robinson. He had the most Gold Glove Awards ever for a position player.
i live about an hour and a half away from here and i go often!
Been there 2 times. Highly recommend. One of the vendors on the strip has a portrait of Jeter so large, you couldn't fit it in your front door. I recall they wanted 3 grand for it in 2015. Is it still there??
We don't lose in the first round anymore. That's how I know this was filmed during last season. 😂
I hope you left a secret message for Joe Mauer.
That's so cool I've always wanted to visit Cooperstown
My favorite player is Jose Cisnero and my favorite team is the defunct Seattle Pilots or the Lady Martian softball squad.
Awesome!
Thank you for this video.
2:30 oh would you look at that
Maybe it’s another sign 😏
This was cool 👍🏼 👍🏼
Thanks. Was a very fun trip
I went there in 2015.
How long does it take to go through the whole thing?
Depends on how long you want to look at everything
