Here to second this! Got pointed to this channel by a Premiere Pro instructor who likes his videos and like he said, Justin knows how to be succinct but informative. Stoked to have found him!
I've look at video after video and read the manual I don't know how many times and just wasn't getting it. Your video came along and made it so simple. I NOW understand what everyone else was talking about. You've earned a like and a subscribe from me.
Mystery solved, thank you for opening my eyes, it is so simple, you 're the first person who made me understand how keyframes work, and in less than 5 minutes! THANK YOUUUUUUUU!!!!!!!! Aloha from Athens, Alexi.
I'm glad I found this video. I was able to find some transitions and when I added them to a clip that worked, but not when I wanted them to. I was told, "its all about the keyframes." - Well now I know what they meant. Thanks for the tutorial.
As a newbie, I didn't bother with keyframes until my DJI Osmo started acting crazy and it would tilt left and right sometimes. I used to fix it by slicing up the video and rotate and crop the slices, but it made terrible jumps in the video. Then I learned to use keyframes with rate and crop and my crooked camera was almost unnoticeable. I just had to record in 4K, then export the video to 1080P after the rotate and crop fix.
Love your work mate, been marathoning your short, easy to understand tutorials! I've been using Premiere like a total amateur these past few years haha keyframes, who'da thunk it.
Thank you for the excellent information and for being so succinct. Most Premiere tutorials are people rambling, but this is clear and to the point. Immensely helpful.
OMG, I've been looking for a way to do that very zoom technique for the longest time. I didn't necessarily want a zoom in, but a gradually scaling up! Thank you so much!
Justin, you was really such a great help on the keyframe topic. So straightforward and very well explained without wasting too much time. Thanks a million for this amazing very clear tutorial. Thumbs up! Liked a lot and subscribed!
I'm back here again 4 months later, I still don't have the window immediately to the right of the effects panel. I cannot see the keys or have a blue slider.
is there a way to transition between two images, like, for example, if you were using an image of a car on the right of the screen and another with the car on the left. Without just making the car a separate image is there a way to transition between the two images to make it look like the car is moving?
Justin, thanks for the video, I was wondering how you put a keyframe at the exact end of clip when you have another clip following it? There has to be an easy trick to doing this.
Justin your content is brilliant, you might just be a life saver. Quick question for you... I'm in the Video Effects. I have the stopwatch selected to add key frames. The add or remove keyframe button appears but nothing seems to happen beyond that; no diamond timeline appears on the other side of the reset parameter arrow like in yours. Help! Where am I going wrong?
I was just about practicing what's on the video, and suddenly came the idea of cutting (razor blade) the timeline dividing it in two. I noticed that the motions do continue to happen, but the two frames I created (first and last) were now SEPARATED! I have simply no idea how Premiere maintain track of the key frames when a cut occurs. Can someone please, clarify it? Thanks in advance!
if i want for example zoom on an internet page, i create 2 keyframes, but is there any way to disable the animation of the zooming? i want it to just instantly get zoomed at the second keyframe. thanks.
Hi, How can I blur some text for a few seconds then blur another area of text for a few seconds? I can't seem to get the fast blur or camera blur effect to "switch off".
Do you mind doing another colorgrading tutorial like more in detail in adobe premiere pro? or like an advance tutorial (if there is one lol). Im learning how to colorgrade on my videos atm but I think its not there yet.
+Justlikemike sure I plan on making more color grading tutorials in the future. What I've laid out here is pretty much the basics but it takes time to master the curves tool. I have a few other color grading tutorials on my channel you can check out in the meanwhile
Justin, I want an image to go from small to large. When I set the key frame on the image, nothing happens. I drag the line across the key frames and the image stays the same size
Hi, is there anyway to move side to side. I shot something on a tripod but would like to make it look like I used a slider. Thanks a bunch in advance for anyone who can help me with this. :)
I hate the way they implemented that timeline marker. When you drag it, it doesn't lock to the beginning or end of the clip you care about, it keeps scrolling in the main timeline. So frustrating. They make it so hard to work with a clip because you have to be careful not to go outside of it or else you lose track of what you were doing. As soon at you slide the marker just outside the end of the clip, it snaps to the end of the video. Ugh!
I've looked at LOTS of videos here about keyframes and none of them have explained it as straightforwardly and clearly as you do. Great job!

Good lord! You're the first person whose actual mentioned clicking the stop watch. Thank YOU!
Been using Sony Movie Studio for years so new to Adobe. This video made the move so easy! You have done a great job Mr Odisho.

Thanks Justin. This keyframe interpolation has been driving me crazy all day.
So glad you made this video! I've been confused about keyframes. All of your content has been so helpful.
Glad it helps!
Finally...a simple, easy-to-understand explanation. Adobe Tutorials could learn a thing or two from you.
Seems so simple, but wow, yeah, that is what I was looking for, but describing it in words on a website was totally ineffective. Thanks!
Thank you so much for this. The answer is so simple yet it was impossible to figure out reading those adobe step guides
your explanation is quick straight to the point !!! thanks a ton
Thanks for this! I know a lot about keyframes but not premiere, so I didn't know where to look for the controls. Big help!
This is an excellent guide. I learned exactly what I hoped to and you explained everything quickly and effectively. Thanks a ton!

Hi,
How can I blur some text for a few seconds then blur another area of text for a few seconds? I can't seem to get the fast blur or camera blur effect to "switch off".
After crossing keyframe did the clip becomes normal or not??
Well done!
Love u brooo, new subs
Thank you.
I've used Premier for a little while, but my little window showing the keys disappeared. :/
How do I get that little timeline of the keyframes
Hey, when I try add a new key frame it tells me all existing keyframes will be deleted, any idea why I can't have more than one? Thanks
Can you use this technique with jpgs?
thanks brother

I'll check it out for some ideas
oh man, was waiting for keyboard commands to jump between these keyframes, possibly for pc..:(
In the effect controls panel, you should see a small arrow buttons before the keyframe timeline that let you jump to the next keyframe
can someone teach me how to do this in after effects ? or link me to a guide ?
The velocity tabs are so confusing.
You don’t have to use them much
why is the video so blurry?

You can press up down to go to cuts and should be able to snap to cuts by dragging
Snap to cuts by holding up or down? I can't find the key combo to snap to cuts while dragging.
I was going to watch a different video but your thumb nail looking fly so
