I am unable to bring my knee as cross my body possibly or o sit ups due a small hernia which occurred 24 years ago, during child birth. At that time, I had seen doctors, who did not recommend surgery as they did think there was an open hole yet, ie not 100% sure confirmed to be a hernia. But still, i have been unable to do any sit up or glute stretch, and now I have a completely flat back. Is there a belt that you can recommend to wear while performing exercises? Something to press on the hernia while doing this exercise, so i wont feel pain when i bring my knee across or do a sit up? I am unable to use my hands to counter press on the hernia for very long due lymphedema and peripheral neuropathy in right arm.

Sorry to hear, can I ask why you are looking to do piriformis syndrome exercises before confirming what is going on with the potential hernia?
