The lock is an anti-theft device. Many devices like monitors, laptops, phones, and desktop PCs have had that opening for the last two decades. There is a special keyed lock that connects into it and you wrap the cable around the desk.
Hi Daniel, it's definitely plastic. Not glass. I have one sitting on my desk right here and when I press on the screen it flexes inward a bit. It doesn't seem flimsy or easy to break, but its definitely a plexi-style plastic. I hope that answers your question and let me know if there is anything I can help you with.
@@RichTechnologyGroup I'm comparing this phone to the Poly VVX450 with Bluetooth adapter. Sound quality is first and fore most the most important thing for me. Next is the best speaker phone, then phone build quality. Which phone would you go with knowing that? I will be using Bluetooth and speaker phone most of the day. Going through Net2Phone.
@@chrismon1001 As much as I'm personally a Yealink SNOB, haha, I would have to say build quality and especially speaker phone quality is the best on the Polycom phones, no contest! Yealink phones are great but the speaker phone on most Polycom phones since late 2019 sound almost life-like, like the person on the phone is in the same room with you. While the newer Yealink's don't require adapters for WiFi and Bluetooth, which is a nice convenience, I'd have to pick Polycom for the more solid premium build and HD voice on the handset and speaker. Let me know if that helps answer your question :)
@@RichTechnologyGroup last question how do you rate Net2Phone sound quality compared to others? I tested them compared to Nextiva and ClarityTEL. Nextiva sounded soooo bad in comparison, like a few layers of cloth was over the microphone in comparison. Anyone else you would recommend that has super high quality voice?
@@chrismon1001 Hi Daniel. No one service provider has better or worse call quality than the other. In my experience (and I've worked with 100s of clients with dozens of service providers) 99.5% of the time if you have call quality issues that's something on your network - IE. internet issues, modem issues, settings in your router or firewall. If you are having poor quality with Nextiva, I'm almost willing to bet you will have the same with Net2Phone or any other one of their competitors. Call quality issues are almost ALWAYS caused by issues on your network NOT the service provider. I did a video on that here: ua-cam.com/video/3c1usVW5Vak/v-deo.html
