Well, the amount of money the BBC was paying Edward is obscene. A £500,000 annual salary. For starters, when he disappeared off the air, did viewers of BBC news shows switch channels because he wasn't reading the news anymore? No they did not. The BBC have lost the plot with the ridiculous salaries they pay out. Crazy.

@@ClactonCuunJust a thought, up until about twenty years or so ago, the BBC was one of the most trusted and respected organisations, not just in this country, but around the world. But then things changed, it became obvious they were nowhere near the impartial broadcaster they were supposed to be and the scandals began coming to light, Saville, Hall, Harris ( there was also a guy called Chris Langham who was on the BBC a fair bit who was also accused of having inappropriate pictures of minors ). There were probably others over the years that got away with it because no one believed that such people would be employed by what was then a prestigious organisation. We will probably never know. To be fair the sad fact is these sorts of people probably exist in most if not all organisations. It most definitely will not be restricted to the BBC.
