Claudia! This video is just so much fun. I lived in Oregon for 30 years and just five years ago moved to Georgia. I literally know every corner of the state! It's so beautiful, it makes me feel a bit nostalgic. Thank you so much!
Perfectly imperfect makes all the sense to me! I getcha! 🎉🎄❤ You are so fun! And oh my, I really enjoyed your shopping with your mama a few weeks ago. Thank you. Merry Christmas 🎉
Good morning Claudia and Sergey. How fun!! It is so beautiful there. 😍 $5 each is AMAZING! Here on the Texas Gulf Coast we don't have anything like that. 😕 Looking forward to seeing you decorate them. Thank you for sharing this with us. 😊
Ohmygoodness! This reminded me of a Hallmark movie. Oregon just has to be one of the most beautiful states. I laughed out loud about pruners in your purse because, of course! Wonderful video. Can't wait to see the porch.
Aww Debra!! That is so kind, thank you!! I was so proud I had the pruners in my bag. 😂 and of course wipes to clean them off when I’m done. I had so much fun bringing you all along. 🥰❤️
wow beautiful video. that snow is so amazing. love going on your trips with you. i know that this is going to be beautiful decor in your garden. thank you for taking us along with yall. hope you have a great day!!!
Hi Claudia, So So cool!! And my goodness, gorgeous!! 🤩 those mountains and sky! ♥️ How fun! I’m going to check that out here, had no idea it existed. Thanks!
Isn't that so fun! I was a little worried we would have to do a lot of hiking and we weren't prepared with snow gear, but it was actually perfect. The sunny clear skies made the snow even more magical. 😍
Enjoyed this adventure! 💚 I’m in AL, and after a quick google search I found out that you can cut trees here in our national forests with a permit! I never knew that!
I was just in forest grove visiting family. what a wonderful idea to be able to do this. Thanks for sharing, I love your videos 🎄🧡cheers from the central coast of California. We live in a protected pine forest. I have 3 redwoods that I grow for cuttings at Christmas
I love this video so much! How magical! 🥰 and the snow just makes it even better ❄️❄️❄️ I just looked and the closest state park to me in Southern IL offers permits for Eastern red cedars only... I had no idea!
Hi Claudia! I live on 100 acres in South Arkansas. We only have hardwood trees, pine and a few cedar trees. We used to cut the cedars for a Christmas tree, but haven’t done that in many years. I can’t wait to see what you do with the things you got.
Hey girl❤ I'm in Southern Michigan and had no idea about getting the abundance at a local park, we do have state land all around us so im going to check it out!!! This was a fun video ❤and I think hubby needs some sprinkling 😂 they do make everything better!! Lots of love, and happy holidays!!
Linda you get me, sprinkles do make everything better. I hope you can in Michigan, you guys have some beautiful parks! We had so much fun foraging, it was definitely worth the trip. ❤️
I always buy my permit at Bimart. We've been getting our trees in the Willamette National forest for 20 years but recently moved to the Coast range. So we'll be searching this year in the Siuslaw.
@InTheGardenWithClaudia we've always gotten Nobles at higher level elevations past Blue River and Wolf rock. The coastals will probably be Doug fir. There's Yew trees, but we're not allowed to cut those. It's always fun regardless.
What a gorgeous park. You’re so lucky. I was pretty sure it wasn’t allowed in CT but I checked anyways, nope not allowed and not in RI, MA or NY either. Honestly I think our public forests could use a little clean up along the roadway. The trees have to compete for daylight and get very spindly. I’m with you I love an unshorn Xmas tree. I do love my early winter nights though even after the holidays
Oh really, I honestly more states had the same policies. I loved how natural they turned out in our decoration video, they just looks effortless. 🥰 I am starting to come around the early evenings, I just love being in the garden so much, I wish we had a little more daylight after work to be outside, at least on dry days. 😆
I live in Mississippi. I’m not sure if there is an area where you can buy a permit to cut trees and greens, but I have land where I forage for small trees, pinecones, grasses, sticks, etc. In fact, I have a video coming out today where we did kind of the same thing, except we don’t have snow that makes everything look beautifully magical! You’re so lucky! Loved your video, and I can’t wait to see what you do with your foraged booty! PS…I love “natural” too!💚🌲🎄
What!! That is so fun Patty!!! Being able to have land to forage through is amazing, I can’t wait to watch! I get to forage in our garden too, but I just dream of wondering off in a big space and finding treasures everywhere in the winter time. 🥰
@, oh my gosh! I love “treasure” hunting! I’ve found so many bottles, a couple of old coins, old jewelry (I found a wedding band once), old cast iron actual irons, and in the spring hundreds and hundreds of daffodils blooming at an old house site on our property! So much fun!💚
Just don't be like us and our friends. We went up to Mt. Hood area (about 20-25 years ago now) to get our $5 trees. Our husbands decided it was a great idea to drive down a snow covered side road. When they got to a fallen tree, rather than turn around they decided it must require them to chop the tree up so they can go farther down the road. (Most likely that tree was there to prevent people from going farther in the first place). After sawing the tree apart we went about 20 feet where our friends mini van... yes you read that correctly.. got stuck. The first tow truck got stuck so they had to call another tow truck to get both out. On top of having to pay for 2 tow trucks our friend also lost his cell phone in the snow somewhere. Their $5 tree ended up costing them about $500. So just be smart when you are doing this. ha!
Oh my gosh, that is wild! First I’m so happy you guys weren’t hurt, that is so scary. And yes we did not wonder too deep because in these area you never know what can happen. 🫣 Thank you for sharing this, it’s always a good idea to remind ourselves to be careful. 😊
Omg Claudia, you could have filmed as long as you wanted to in my opinion. What peace and tranquillity in the forest. I wish I were there with you and my husband says Oregon is one of the most beautiful places there is. He is a truck driver and at one point he was over the road driver and has been there to your beautiful state. I can’t wait for the next video. Have a wonderful evening. Karen
Aww thank you my friend! Does he does long hauls? I have so much admiration for that work, I know it can be Gard driving those long distances. I hope you bot get to explore Oregon some time, if you do come in the summer, there's nothing like a West Coast summer. 🥰
Good morning Claudia! He no longer drives over the road but he still talks about beautiful places that he has visited. I want to visit some of those same places and that includes Oregon. I really want to experience snow in my lifetime and see yellow, red, orange tree as well. I am 59 years old and I can retire next year and maybe I can start my bucket list adventures. See you in the next video and take care Claudia🥰
I love when gardening channels take me a along on Christmas trips. Whether it’s shopping or decorating. It’s all awesome!
This honestly makes me so happy. I hope you all know how much I LOVE sharing with you all and bringing you along my little adventures. ❤️
The best kind of day. Such a beautiful forest thanks for taking us along. Now I need to put pruners in my purse 😂😂😂😂 only a gardener.
Lol trust me, you will not regret having pruners with you at all times. 😆
Claudia! This video is just so much fun. I lived in Oregon for 30 years and just five years ago moved to Georgia. I literally know every corner of the state! It's so beautiful, it makes me feel a bit nostalgic. Thank you so much!
Aww this makes me so happy Lily. I would love to visit Georgia some day, its def on my bucket list. 💞
Fun watching you forage for trees and I agree with you about how dark winter is, I miss the light too.
Nancy we just have to get over. the next month and then we will enjoy more daylight. 🤗
Sprinkles with a lot of whipped cream! Yum! The best Claudia! 🎄🌺🥤
Lol you get me friend. Its all about romanticizing the simple things in life. 💞
I would have been so distracted too. Such a beautiful winter wonderland. My son in Sedona AZ was able to cut his own tree ,the permit was $25
Ohh that's so special Michelle. It's such a wonderful way to make these new traditions, and who wouldn't get carried away by all that snow. 🥰
Perfectly imperfect makes all the sense to me! I getcha! 🎉🎄❤ You are so fun! And oh my, I really enjoyed your shopping with your mama a few weeks ago. Thank you. Merry Christmas 🎉
Aww thank you so much Doris!! 🤗 I always have a good time bringing you all along on these adventures, mom does too! 🥰❤️

Aww thanks Jennifer!! We had such a great time, it turned into the perfect date. I’m so excited to get them up and decorated too. 🥰❤️
Wow! I'm in KS. No forests. But there are Christmas tree farms. We have never cut a tree but know people who do. Beautiful snow.
Oh fun!! I always wonder how much U-cut tree farms are outside the PNW. 🤔 We had the best time beings you all with us. ❤️
Ohmygoodness! This reminded me of a Hallmark movie. Oregon just has to be one of the most beautiful states. I laughed out loud about pruners in your purse because, of course! Wonderful video. Can't wait to see the porch.

I got my new Dahlias catalog. We are having a very foggy morning. Good morning to start looking through the catalogue. Have a wonderful Christmas. 🌼
That sounds like a perfect morning to me. 🥰 I hope you find some new beauties to add to your garden. 🩷
Enjoyed this adventure! 💚 I’m in AL, and after a quick google search I found out that you can cut trees here in our national forests with a permit! I never knew that!
This honestly makes my heart so happy! So many people are learning they can get permits to this in their home state. 😍
I was just in forest grove visiting family. what a wonderful idea to be able to do this. Thanks for sharing, I love your videos 🎄🧡cheers from the central coast of California. We live in a protected pine forest. I have 3 redwoods that I grow for cuttings at Christmas
Ohh I love this Darlene! I am so impressed that you have redwoods, are they massive? I bet you you get lovely greens from them. 😍
So fun to go with you! I’m in Southern California and no snow unless we drive hours. You made me laugh with carrying pruners in your purse! lol
I love that! There are so many beautiful areas I want to explore in Ca. 🥰 Also, you never know when you might need your pruners. 😂
I love this video so much! How magical! 🥰 and the snow just makes it even better ❄️❄️❄️ I just looked and the closest state park to me in Southern IL offers permits for Eastern red cedars only... I had no idea!
What that is amazing!!! I love and type of cedars for winter arrangements and decor. 😍

Wow 100 acres! 🤩 That is so exciting! Do you explore it often? That just seems like it would be so fun. I’m excited to get them all decorated too. 🥰
We have hardwood forests in Missouri. The evergreens in Oregon are spectacular.
They really are Nancy, we pulled over a couple of times and just took in the beauty, it’s always so magical. 🥰

@InTheGardenWithClaudia we've always gotten Nobles at higher level elevations past Blue River and Wolf rock. The coastals will probably be Doug fir. There's Yew trees, but we're not allowed to cut those. It's always fun regardless.
