I remember starting Dark Matter and in the blink of an eye I read half of it. Rarely do books make me lose track of time but that one did. Truly an incredible story.
@@cshocks I can read that fast but this is a bit out of my comfort zone. So I'm not reading that fast. The plot is intriguing! So cool it will be a show!
Oooohh, I am starting Call of the Boneships in the upcoming days and now you have me VERY excited!! Hope the ending lands better for me! And I love that you just fell head over heels in love with Blake Crouch's books. I am currently listening to Upgrade and so far I am really enjoying it, so I hope that trend continues! Also looking forward to your Red Rising review. Great wrap-up!! 🤩
Man thanks for recommending dark matter just finished it and it is perfection. I am not an avid reader but its the first time that i loved everything the story had to offer. Masterpiece!
Have you read Godkiller by Hannah Kaner? I'm in the middle of reading it right now, I'm around 120 pages in and am loving it. The second book "Sunbringer" comes out in January I think, and can't wait to get my hands on that one. I really wanna get into the Red Rising trilogy, I've heard so many good things about it! And will definitely look into Dark Matter!
It’s funny your sponsor discusses magic vs science because I was just thinking about how in anime (often the shonen action type, like one piece) has both but usually magic/pure human strength wins over science. Wonder if this trend continues in SFF novels
Being a massive anime fan myself, I really took notice how technology tends to be portrayed as the evil side of progression or some sort of quick fix that ultimately fails. I take a different approach in Orbem, allowing a foreign science to change the way a world of magic progresses and develop a set of checks and balances where one specie isn't allowed to be tyrants because they possess the ability to perform magic. - Scott D. Adrian (you get it)
In regards to Upgrade, I really enjoyed it. I thought that the first 70 pages and the epilogue were perfect, and everything in the middle was good. It’s my first Crouch novel, so I’m looking forward to the future ones
thanks, I will defiantly give blake crouch a try, just finished project hail mary and what a great book! ive been so into epic fantasy for years but hey, what do you know? i love sci fi too now!:) but the bar has been set very high!
Just re read Dark Matter incredible book and is currently being adapted for Apple+. Recurssion and Upgrade are both good but not as much. Ive also recently The Wayward Pines trilogy. I see his name I buy his book 😊.
I liked Rise of a Ranger, but yeah, the multi PoV was... I signed up for Asher as a character, and got annoyed the further on i read LOL But the spin off series was fun
Unfortunately I think Dark Matter and Recursion are Blake Crouch's best books. One common opinion I hear about the author is that the first one you read from him is often your favorite (mine was Recursion and I like it more than Dark Matter). However, I think you would really enjoy The Wayward Pines trilogy by him.
I’ve only read Upgrade and I thought it was great. If Dark Matter and Recursion are both as good as you say, I’m going to have a blast reading Mr Crouch

I finished Red Rising last week and am alternating between that series and Faithful and the Fallen right now. Halfway through Malice and loving it.
I picked up Dark Matter because of you! I'm in the middle of it right now. Thank you!!! 😊
it's also being turned into an apple tv+ show as well. but the book was AMAZING i read it in less than a day it was THAT good.

Have you read anything with the subject of Samurai? Also could you recommend something without magic?
Thank you

Blake Crouch’s Pines trilogy is top tier.
Recursion is the number 1 for me ❤
Love the video, but the background music is not good and is too loud.
can I ask for a book recommendation?

Dark Matter is chefs kiss
I tried fourth wing but realized I don’t like romance
2-3 days for recursion? Weak sauce😏 I read it in a day.
I don't even like the word romantasy
First time hearing the word. Not a good word.
@@Vingul Heard it a few times now, seems to be becoming a thing
I deeply loathe romantasy. And it’s sooo pervasive these days. Gag me!
