Isaac and Eli my best advice for young hoopers is to work hard and don’t listen to the haters is your biggest motivators just be yourself and stay grinding I believe in you bro all love ❤️❤️🔥
Hey buddy! You have to work on your shooting style. You have strength, your strong 💪🏻 and most of all you have guts to play hard I like that! Just focus on ur shooting 🏀 just calm and patience , always good luck 🤞🏻
I was watching the Saint peters games and noticed that even a bargain basement team from the Mac doesn’t have a single slow white kid who can’t jump or can’t play defense on it. My words of encouragement is to somehow grow 6 inches and build up your speed agility and athleticism over the next three years. If that’s possible.
"I ain't mad at you." Really? Poor example of a coach sounded mad. Hollering and screaming and then when he comes down cuz I ain't mad at you. That's pathetic and he's talking about composure... "As a team right now we don't know just what to do." " and the refs they really ain't helping us at all either." That's reflective of the coach and his coaching style mentality philosophy and foundation.
he wasn’t mad he just want the best for them. this is basketball as them being a team it’s about the players being composed and the coach telling you the rights from wrong but if they don’t listen to the things that you are telling them and they keep repeating their mistakes when they are better players i mean what coach wouldn’t be mad. he’s not mad at them, he’s mad on how they played because he knows how they can play and was possibly disappointed because of the fact that they can play better what they are doing. and have you played basketball. basketball isn’t a soft sport where you have people babying you. and he’s a amazing coach and anyone is lucky to have him. his training is good, he’s a great motivational speaker, he wants the best for these boys, he treat everyone equally to his sons, and he also have great structure also. and most of the time when he gets on them they listen and pick up the speed. these boys are considered professionals, and for some this is their future and he wants them to live up to that hype and potential. please don’t be a coach at all cause you sound pathetic.
@@TJ-xe1cx TJ thank you so much for your reply. Fact is I've coached for 3 decades at the high school, College level and youth sports. I've been blessed to teach and coach student-athletes who have gone on to win the Cy Young Awards, Rookie of the Year, many who were All Stars at the professional level and I have learned a great deal from all my student-athletes as well as participants of summer youth programs. I was a holler when I first started coaching I knew it all I was stubborn egotistical could not be told anything, but I quickly recognized the very poor character traits in my coaching at that young age. I realized I could perhaps raise my voice to get a point across but never attempt to show anger or intimidation to motivate and Inspire my student-athletes. I made 2 comments based on verbal quotes in the program one by the coach one by one of the players. It is wonderful to realize the coach has a loyal following and I applaud that, but I believe there are more positive ways to get the point across rather than blowing Steam and then calming down and then telling the players how proud he is of them. My suggestion is someone should get with the coach and offer him this piece of advice, "if you're not having a good emotional reaction that's positive stay outside the locker room until you calm down and then go and speak to the young men you are mentoring to be a good reflection of themselves." Thank you for your time
@@humbledriver2536 have you heard the kids in response to his actions? They say they put a chip on their shoulders and they come out and play hard. As a coach did you not read the room? People respond differently to different coaching styles. Me as a player, I needed to be yelled at. And it wasn’t anything to do with ego. If the intensity needs increased, as a coach, that’s a good way to increase it. People are so soft these days. Yelling isn’t necessarily punishment as much as verbal reinforcement to let them know. They won’t forget that part. Sorry to tell ya buddy but that talent you coaches is just that, talent. Doesn’t seem you had much to do with it. The greatest coaches of all time yell A LOT. Popovich, coach K, Roy Williams, etc. lots and lots of yelling. It’s part of the game
@@joshuaearnheart2756 Good morning Joshua. As I mentioned I was blessed to had the opportunity to teach and coach those young men who went on to Greatness I never said I had any part to do with it. Obviously to reach that highest level takes me much much more than what any coaching can do. I think the writing is on the wall here. I understand the facet of needing to know your players needing to know how to effectively motivate individuals....some take the pat on the back, some respond better to as you say hollering. My point being you can holler you can speak at a loud volume..if you do so without anger and frustration and without the negative emotion. That gets my nod of approval. So I certainly realize after 30 years of coaching and teaching student-athletes I feel I firmly have a grasp on the coaching psychology and do not condone negativity in any facet.
@@humbledriver2536 it isn’t negativity. It’s corrective action. “Hey don’t do that” doesn’t work with 90% of kids. Especially these kids that are on camera. They want to perform. And they know that tone means it’s time to get shit done. Like it or not, he has a freshman and an 8th grader playing with the best kids in the country. Him doing that gets them ready for the pressure that’s going to be put on them in the real world. Pressure becomes nothing and allows them to perform on a big stage. I actually think more coaches need to be that way, especially Mikey Williams. His hype would get him nothing against this team, as we’ve seen.
