GrandStarStudios is correct. Ruby and Sapphire are varieties of Corundum. They are 9 on the MOHS hardness scale. I have never attempted to tumble any. 😊

Good luck tumbling, I tried a grinding wheel just to see what happened and it sparked, but didn't grind anything except my wheel lol
I can imagine it would be very difficult to shape Corundum. 👍🏻😂
