Not to be “that guy” because I primarily listen to and engineer hip hop/R&B… but Metal deserves more love from todays generation man. There is a special place in my soul for metal, when you have the right playlist on in the gym or even just walking around in public it makes you feel like a absolute beast. I wish everyone could experience that feeling, you can almost see it in some of the young girls faces as they start subconsciously head banging along as they walk past lol such a great, empowering feeling that only this genre of music can give you
haha for real, walking through the halls of school blasting Metal in my airpods and just looking around at everyone else, just gives this feeling of great superiority. And from someone who has very low self esteem, it gives me that little bit to keep me going and make me feel empowered.

i agree! i'm in my last year of highschool and i'm the only metal head in my grade. all my friends think i'm slightly insane for enjoying metal yet refuse to even give it a try. i believe there's a metal genre out there for everyone :)

Most people listen to it wrong. They expect happy pleasant emotions when most metal is about getting fucking amped with adrenalin.
No matter what you do, there will always be poeple laughing at you, but at the same time, there will be people who are inspired. So just do what you love, inspire, and don't worry about the ones who laughing, they are just afraid to follow their dreams and have to justify this by laughing at the ones who do. It's not a mean laugh, it's suprised one - it's usually some spanish guitar/accordion players you see outside, not something loud and disturbing as metal, so such players are seen as something out of the ordinary and like an attraction of sorts. What, you'd like people to sob or tear up from this? Of course they're laughing - "Haha, look *friend's name*, this one's playing rock/metal, i haven't seen that before haha".

@@x_overkll_x507 nope, it's hardcore. First album is deathcore, second is metalcore with deathcore influences on screaming, and third is electronic influenced. Sempiternal is their last metalcore album and it's influenced by pop song structures.
