2 years has flown by, I remember you getting this around the time I got my M340i and that was in for it’s first service yesterday. Keep the content coming CMD, I always enjoy watching yours.
I had an Audi B5 RS4 for 15 years that was a lot in maintenance costs ! And 17mpg on average !! Only had my Porsche 10 months 7000 miles and 3 track days so far no issues at all.
Your ownership experience is invaluable as I hope to join the Porsche family next year. I have always been a manual guy and never driven a PDK so which would you prefer? Secondly the 4 wheel drive verses 2 wheel drive? Some say the 4 wheel drive numbs steering feel but I like the thought of the security of 4 wheel drive, what are your thoughts? Only recently found you and now I am a subscriber.
Hi Ray I’ve done another video on the car well worth a watch to help with some of this. I’d suggest driving both manual and pdk to get YOUR preferred set up… same for 2 vs 4 wheel drive - all about preference- this is just where I landed.
Hey chap At the time I didn’t as it had to be my daily driver and all rounder - more recently though I have considered a manual as daily a Tesla - going to film one soon 🤞
Hey mate great video keep up the fantastic content. I am same age as you and do not live in london and own a m3 competition 2018 saloon and surprised my insurance is £1400. What provider you got for insurance.£800 for a 911 is bargain!
Interesting as a Macan owner here. Curious though , do you have an extended warranty on your car, if not, why not? Or, can you tell us what warranty you do have? Thanks in anticipation.
We have all scheduled servicing done at OPC Reading as per service schedule/book. Any other work picked up on vehicle inspection , i check with OPC to if it's ok for Autofarm to to it. It's always ok'd by OPC Reading. They aren't overly happy but understand i may save 500 quid depending on the work carried out. All work carried out at Autofarm is with genuine Porsche parts! @markdann375
that's pretty cheap and £800 on a car like that really cheap# It's an expensive car so its not like an astra etc where you can order cheap things like brakes etc off the net lol
Always nice to know real world costs & experiences, thank you.
Cheers fella - your v welcome 🙏🏻

Thank you for the view and feedback 👍
This is helpful and timely as I'm looking at a used 911 v new M2, may well just come down to practicality. Head says M2, heart 911.
Personally - having driven both - I’d go with your heart 😂 ❤️
Save your money and get the previous generation M2, the front and rear ends on the new M2 look like a joke.
Your mpg is amazing! I get around 24 on average, best ever I think on a really careful motorway run was 29.
I find cruise control helps 😂
Another great video and always a pleasure to be graced with your presence!
See you again soon 👍🏼
More to follow TH - thank you for having me and nice moonwalk 👌

Thank you, really useful as I plan my purchase.
Great to hear 👌
Very useful insights into cost of ownership, thanks. Did you consider manual and if so, what are your thoughts on having gone pdk vs manual?
Hey chap

Drop me a DM on Insta chap and I’ll give you the info 👌
I find your insurance costs - very hard to believe. My M240i is costing me £1100 and I’m late 50’s with clean license - can anyone explain pls
Postcode / previous convictions / provider / excess - all insurance is underwritten based on a multiple of various specific circumstance
Wow, doesn’t seem like 2 years since you sold the M2 comp. I guess it makes sense, I traded in my M2 in December after 2 years of ownership.
How time flies chap 😂
Couldn’t see anything on the net about PCR Porsche that you mentioned for servicing, where are these based?
My bad chap - It’s PMR in feckenham
@@CarMadDad thanks man!
They were quality chap 👌

Hi there
My warranty is still on the car until later this year - will likely extend
Fairly sure extending Porsche warranty is out of scope if you service the car out of OPC. That was my understanding anyway!
Think you might be correct 🙄

Check blackcircles for tyres. Much cheaper than what you quoted.
Noted
That is actually really rather reasonable all things considered.
Agreed
Which watch is that..?
