Chet I know you are young and strong I was too about 45 to 50 years ago all through my 20's but I am truly impressed with will willingness to tackle the wall with the cement cutter, good job Chet, where's Erik when you need him?...
Oh man have I ever run those deck saws. Mine was a 3120 husqvarna. 120cc’s. Very heavy for sure. You said don’t mess with a concrete guy lol. I agree. Same with loggers who run chainsaws all day. HOWEVER could you imagine tangling with one of the old school lumberjacks that were chopping redwoods down with axes and 2 man buck saws!!! Those guys had to be the toughest guys ever. I look at the old pictures of them standing in front of a 16 foot wide redwood literally standing IN THE FACE CUT THEY CHOPPED WITH AXES!!!! It’s just unbelievable. To think what generations before us weather it’s loggers or even farmers I mean look what the old time farmers had to do 125 years ago. I bet they were strong as an ox too. Sometimes I wonder how today’s man would handle being teleported back in time to work for a day. I bet we would have a whole new appreciation for today’s technology!!!! As always WORK SAFE 😎😎🇺🇸🇺🇸
Chet, Dougo and Eric. I can't stop laughing at the conundrums y 'all get yourselves into. Love watching your (mis)adventures. God bless and stay safe, from Ohio. Pastor Bill!
Iv been pouring and demoing concrete for 25 years and I think it’s hilarious how so many couch concrete and constuction workers there are commenting on this video it looked like everything they did got the job done love the vids
You couldn't cast 3 funnier individuals than Dougo, Chet and Eric. i usually have to pause the video becaiuse i'm laughing so hard i miss some of it. Great stuff.
I am a fairly new subscriber. I enjoy your videos very much especially the back and forth between you, your dad, and Big Swede. I am also very sorry about the loss of your wife.
PPE is a must with cutting concrete etc. Was a bricklayer for many years...a little secret, when your cutting Chet have Dougo with a fertilizer spray bottle filled with water and keep spraying the water next to the blade when cutting=wet saw!
Lol, Chet did you say Swede went on vaca with his Brother and Sisters Parents? Wouldn’t that be his Mom and Dad? Great video as always. Such a beautiful farm as well. Hoping ya’ll have fantastic yields along with high prices.
Y’all be careful with those saws. Week and a half ago I was cutting into a water main with one (something ive done many times) and the saw kicked back on me and caught me in the chest and under my chin. Took 23 stitches to close me up.
Thanks for the great video that was more than interesting!!! The remodel on the old hog house is coming along good and will be a great storage building when you are done with it. All of you are putting in a lot of hard work dealing with the concrete and rebar and such. The concrete saw really cut thru the concrete, dangerous machine that is. You really got the door cut in with good time. Removing all the slats will take some time I am sure. I will say this project is coming together pretty darn good. Will look forward to next video on this project. Is very interesting to see how you are doing the remodel. Thanks for taking us along. Appreciate your time to do the video. You all take care and be careful. Thanks. The Iowa farm boy from years ago.
Apart from the great videos i hope your doing ok mate. Ur an incredible young man to keep going strong with all that’s happened. One Farm UA-camr to another 👍
You are right about concrete workers and especially brick layers. Those guys have amazingly strong hands and forearms and if they get ahold of you, there's no getting away. 2 guys I went to high school with, both dads owned concrete/brick laying businesses and were some tough SOB's.
Always enjoy y'all's Video's, Y"all have so much Fun working together sure makes your Days go by less stressful. But then you gotta go Edit. we Thank Y"all...:)
Hey Chet. love the repurpose job. Here's a tip for the next time you have to cut corrugated sheets. Grab a circular saw with a carbide blade and make quick work out of cutting a straight line as well as cutting through the 2X's on the back. Really enjoy your channel.. Miss Nickie
I love it when a father and son do remodeling it is a very good learning video I wish my dad was still here to do things like this with. We used to but I’m a good watcher now lol keep up the good work you guys rock and you make me laugh thank you for the good content
Love watching you guys ! Don’t believe I could work with you all day my sides would be killing me from laughing!! Doug O is crazy !! But I would like to try !! Can’t wait to see what happens next !!
I know it's already been said, but when you're working with cement, always wear a mask. It will come back to bite you when you're older. Water sprayed on the area also helps with the dust. God bless and keep doing what you're doing guys, all the way from Down Under.
Hey Chet. Hope all is well. Where can I get a patriotic Larson’s farm hat like you have in the videos. Keep praying for you. It will get better with time.
I'm just a city gal from Nebrasks. but love your videos. my Dad grew up on a farm north of Brookings SD. He always said he was just a dumb swede . 🤷♀️😉😊
Ran a saw like that for a whole year working for a master stone mason. Tip #1 (most important). HOOK SAW UP TO WATER!!!!! Doubles at minimum the blades like and dust is basically GONE!! Tip #2 reference tip #1 Tip#3 blade guard pivots up and down so you handle won't hit the ground and you can saw level or slightly upward.
Hello Larson's, Here is something funny. I also have a toad in my garage, I put it outside three times and it keeps getting in so everytime I open the door I say hello toady. I have done the same thing back when I worked construction. If you want to keep the dust down you should be able to hook up a water hose to the saw or have someone spray a little water while cutting. I have a 1991 Bobcat 443 and I love the little machine. Love the video's keep up the good work and god bless and stay safe.
I don’t know why but Doug-O reminds me of Jim Carrey‘s the Grinch……. Because you know he’s got a big heart and he’s awesome but he’s got some rough edges and a little bit of grumpiness! I love it Doug-o keep up the great work!
@@aarongrabowski3775 I don’t mean bad grumpy I mean good grumpy like when the boys welded the door shut on the dump truck or When Doug-o was wearing those pit viper glasses….. he looks like the Grinch with the Christmas sweater on. Lol. (The look on his face that is). I’m totally kidding Doug and the boys are hilarious.
Chet here's an idea when your arms are rested you start at the top and when they are fatigued you work the bottom at least that's what I'd do...any more questions?...
Great vlog fellas . Good to see Eric make an appearance 😁 That is going to be a nice storage area when its done . One thing about you guys you do it right the first time no bodgey half done job
Unfortunately the way Chet feels now after running that machine is how my muscles feel most of the time with my disease. These guys are great entertainment and really appreciate them. Disable country boy from Missouri
Try a skill saw with an old blade installed backwards to cut metal panels, loud as all get out, but fast going! Built a barn in Watertown as a youngster and that’s how we cut all the roof panels.
That dust from cutting that concrete is silica. Once it’s in your lungs it won’t come out. The amounts you were exposed isn’t really harmful. Should at least wear a cheap mask. Love your videos. Reminds of growing up.

I just noticed the "The Big Swede" parking sign... that is brilliant!
Chet, you aren't afraid to tackle any job I see. Impressive...
Chet that saw looked it was a bear to run and looks like dougo really likes that jackhammer keep up the great work Chet.

The header over the door needs the 2x6's or 2x8's placed on end to prevent sag or failure of the wall above it. Thanks for the video.
Not to worry - there's a wall to wall truss above the opening.
@@rickhammer2374 yes, not a load bearing wall. It will depend on how they finish framing the door also.

Anybody else laughing a little like water helps with the dust control and if you guys notice there is an attachment for water makes life a lot easier
I was screaming at them about that. Guess he could not hear me over the saw noise
Yes. 10 or more employees, they gotta spray water for silica (dust) control.
Water lubricates and cools the blade.
@@randykov i was thinking the same thing
