Great long term review! You've had better luck with yours. My charge indicator only lights one dot even after sitting in full sun.

Sorry to hear that! I've found the plastic itself to be quite fragile (maybe due to UV exposure) but the electronics still work.

awesome vid, definitely next on my list of lights to buy. My area has pretty bad infrastructure so any time there's a storm it knocks the power out most of the time, and the power company sometimes says they don't know whenever it'll be back on

Just remember to store it somewhere where it gets plenty of sunlight 👍

I have had my Luci lights for at least 10 years and they work wonderful at home and camping.

These are almost impossible to keep charged during polar nights. More expensive ones have usb charging with added price, bulk and weight.

Yeah those newer models have more features. In my use, even during winter, the charging capabilities has been enough since I'm only using EMRG for maybe half an hour or so when going to bed. Outdoor 2.0 is outside all the time and got used only every now and then, so it was essentially always charged full. But I agree that these definitely can't replace a proper battery or fuel powered lanterns if light is needed in camp for many hours per day.

Am I not charging mine right? I just bought four of them I waited for the battery to die and I’ve been charging them outside all day yesterday and it did not charge at all I’m trying it again right now but it doesn’t seem to be working

Hmm, well depending on where on this globe you live, your mileage may vary. However, after keeping them all day outside, assuming it wasn't raining, there should be some charge regardless.

The one I bought only lasted 24 hours and then broke.

That thing is a piece of garbage. The manufacturing quality is abysmal at least for mine. Doesn't charge. One hole and it's trash. Could get squished in your pack, and easily turned on in your pack to drain all the battery. It's just a cheap light with some feel-good trendy marketing.

The plastic is so thick that I don't think a puncture is a very realistic threat, if anything I suspect the seams might degrade over time. But as shown in this video, that hasn't happened with my lights yet. A button lock would be useful, I agree.
