I'm always so impressed when I watch this vid. Thanks to Billy, I've learned part of this song. And thanks for posting this. I'm obsessed with Ovation guitars!

I've had the same problem since the late 80's and just finally got an idea to help, so I had my guitar tech put a piece of leather in the arch of the guitar where it sits on your leg. It's thin enough to no affect the sound, but durable enough to last many years... and it's completely stopped the sliding. I was originally going to go with a piece of neoprene, but leather seemed more durable. It's only glued on, so it can easily be replaced if needed,

I love my CC44. It's not only beautiful and sounds good but its construction gives me confidence that it is durable. Hey, if Glen Campbell loved them it has got to be good.
Sounds great but why do people post videos with more than half of it being them tuning up? Maddening.
llazyiest because its in a guitar shop so its not always in tune and different songs have different tunings i know he could have done it beforehand but who really cares

@Knutli when he played f# and g on the high e it sounded in tune, but not when he played it open it sounded a little flat. i think the intonation is slightly off. the playing isn't great but the tone is pretty damn good for a $500 guitar that plays as beautifully as that one does. it's not going to sound as good as a taylor, martin, or takamine though.

I love this cover version. I'm trying to learn the rhythm part- not too good at it. You play this so effortlessly. This year I purchased an Ovation guitar.

That's why mic'd up is much better than plugged in on this turtle back guitar; using clip on mic pick up is better way.
