To assist viewers, With filter change, 4-1/4 litres will bring your oil level to 2-3mm (about 1/8”) below full mark after running engine then checking 10 min later or when cold
It's been said to first remove oil filter as it releases the vacuum . Then oil will come out more completely . When I change my oil every 5000 miles it looks the same . I believe it's because I always use an engine flush , liqui-Moly or Amsoil . Compared with countless oil changes I have seen where the oil comes out BLACK .
Yes that would make it easier, as well as being on top, but all manufacturers are looking at space efficiency and packaging which is unfortunate for us!
Thanks for the video Bro! I'm awaiting delivery of a 2024 Rav4 Prime XSE and debating if I should do oil change my self or get the free oil changes for 2 years that's included.
@mikeh4686 Yes I have been doing them myself. Changed oil at 800 miles and just yesterday at 4809 miles. What oil you use? So far I've used Pennzoil Platinum 0w-16 and just recently Eneos 0w-16

No need to add oil to seal as these filters with protective plastic over seal is pre-lubed
Thanks...I'm just old school
@@4am4life-cc3oh Funny I’m old school and old! I will be 60 years old very very soon!

I'd prefer if Toyota kept the orientation of the oil filter like the majority of most cars that have them on the bottom of the engine. 🤔

@@Noypi54494 Just the factory oil
some ppl shared that you should put a little oil into the new oil filter before pluging it into the car. What’s your thought on this?
@ethannguyen7562 l do agree...but this rav4 has a side mounted oil filter and access space is very limited
I fill filter halfway as it is side mounted on our 3 current gen Rav4s. Other upside down filters I fill fully
