Anaheim Police Department & Make-A-Wish: Alex's Super Hero Wish - September 30, 2013

On Monday, September 30, 2013, the Anaheim Police Department partnered with the Make-A-Wish foundation to grant a special wish for 7 year-old boy named Alex. Alex suffers from leukemia and wished to become a real-life superhero.
Alex was sworn-in as an honorary crime fighter and, with the help of Batman, was transformed into his favorite superhero, Robin. The duo traveled throughout Anaheim and the surrounding area capturing several wanted villains including: "crooked cowboys" at Knott's Berry Farm and "pillaging pirates" at the Pirates Dinner Adventure.
While flying in APD's helicopter, Angel, Alex located the Riddler's hideout. He landed at Angel Stadium of Anaheim and hopped into the Batmobile and set out for the Riddler's hideout. Alex successfully captured the Riddler and returned him to APD Headquarters, where his accomplishments were celebrated in a huge hero's welcome.
