Love how BTM making these events to let dancers the time to express themselves ✨
Rubix clearly won this battle in my eyes 🏆
20:28 he sliced his arms, dropped to the ground, moved forward like a zombie move fit so perfectly with the beat. rubix 2022 les go!
Song?
@@lucasr803 want to know too
That round has got to be eveything dance is supposed to be...Rubrix was one with the sounds of that eerie beat...love it...come to it regularly to remind myself how good Rubrix is...
Rubix is beastly, so athletic and high musicality. I like how different gonzys rounds were, hes really skilled, creative and autentic. Overall amazing exchange. But after the 3rd round I wish the reliance on power moves and ground moves was less.
Gonzy is a solid dancer and his creativity is dope but, he's usually a bit too experimental for me (my smooth brain finds it difficult). Rubix performed phenomenally well and his fluid continuous dance is always a pleasure to watch. Thanks BTM for providing us with excellent content once again.
Domination de Rubix 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Blind judges. Rubix came up with new ideas every single time and synced with the beat. Crazy dayum crazy
Wowwwwwwwww ! Gonzy was on another level .. lot of people said rubix won but look gonzy side he was very creative and original ...look his details 😭
Imma call this one the battle of the 2 real-life rubberband men. Rubix's musicality is coming along beautifully. I see you (always supportive) Deyvron. Gonzy always looks to be having so much fun when he dances. I love watching him do his thing. Great job, both of you!
Both are very entertaining with unique styles, Gonzy always comes up with some weird/funny concepts.
imo doing facial expressions and mouthing lyrics is not dancing, it's contemporary art or even acting. Much of his variety comes from elements that are not strictly dancing.
@@SoulReaper66623 Actually, mouthing and facial expressions is considered a part of dancing! Even in Hip Hop! In case you don’t believe me, you should check Evion’s round when he was against Rochka (its a one round each battle so its short) All depends on the context in which you use it and how you actually play around without interrupting your flow!
@@youmademecringe3225 It's just a cheap method to pad out the set when youve got nothing else to do. Just because Evion did it has nothing to do with anything. If you have to use acting to express yourself on the dancefloor you're failing as a dancer. It's two separate artforms. And yes a lot of dancers do it, but a lot of dancers are not great.
@@SoulReaper66623 I am not saying that everyone who does it is great, you’re completely misunderstanding what I am trying to say, obviously some ‘dancers’ use acting and facial expression to try to randomly make some shit out and hope to mothafickin chronos for all i know that this bs would work, but what I am trying to point out, is that facial expression and mouth movements can be used if its used right which in that case is considered as hip hop dancing, I gave Evion’s example where he used his face and mouth to add onto his movements, instead of literally trying to base this whole facial expression thing on a part of a freestyle, which in that case will obviously make anyone awkward.
So yeah, Evion’s case in that battle I referenced, is indeed relevant.
@@SoulReaper66623 its a freestyle bro, no rules,no framework
Excellent exchange here 🤘🏾 We all know Rubix has continued to level up every year, rising superstar in this dance game. I'll always have love for Gonzy (not necessarily for his complete style) but because I've never seen him look like he doesn't enjoy dancing and being on that stage. He's truly having fun out there and I think his theatrical expressions add to his movements, they weren't overdone in this battle IMO.
Gonzy was really talking to him
Making full stories. Very nice
Rubix first round was crazy!
I preferred Rubix rounds aside from Gonzy's bird round (which Rubix replied to with his grizzly round).
Good battle nevertheless, thanks for uploading and hosting!
Great battle ! Thanks for making this event.
I don‘t know why but I loved the concept of behind the scenes. Now it went from underground to official. The vibe is different. But It was a great battle!
9:22 HE USED THE LINE ON THE FLOOR AS A CONCEPT WTFFFFFFFFFF
Great setting, Rubix took that
This is art!
Thanks fornthe extra round.
But impossible Tie
Rubix you are icon ❤️😍🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
the growth in rubix,,,,,, 4th round was fire
I can hear Forge hyping
Love the guy
Lmao I was wondering who that was but that makes sense. He's great
Rubix is so rawww ‼🔥 from 2:00 to 2:23 also respect to Gonzy as well‼🔥
Rubix won! I've watched the video 3 times, still dont understand the judges.
Rubix took the second to last for sure but Gonzy was in his bag. Great exchange.
How did gonzy get the first round💀
I guess it's just my preference... but Rubix literally won every single round in my opinion😂
Edit** We absolutely NEED a track list yo
Can someone please comment down the songs title below? 🙏
18:23 -- 21:32 was just pure art and greatness...
2nd round song??
Dope battle wit tha real OG’z dancers give us a lot of strange characters & skillz …🔥✨
But 18:50 part of grizzly iz a legendary round
.. no comment ⚖️🙌🏾
Crazy rubix was in his bag, and gonzy was good but not to the point of him winning after the tie, don’t know what the judges saw maybe too dark for them cause rubix clearly win that last round. He was on 🔥 rubix always brings his versatile floor moves. Wow didn’t see that decision turning out that way.
Still no one find a song from 18:20 ? 🙏🙏🙏
Great battle but strange judgment anyways respect for both sides
They both did exceptionally well here. Honestly I have to give it to Gonzy though I've never seen Rubix reset so much. I think the spirit of competition makes him rush more often than not because his patience in battles really be like a gunshot. That being said when he learns to flow those power moves and blow ups like Alex/Killason/Rochka can he's going to be killer.
Same. The original BTM was better bc they could go the whole song if they wanted and Rubix could really build his concepts. Dope first, second, and last rounds, but overall I give it to Gonzy as well.
Maybe he saving a lil sum for JD
@@SoulReaper66623 that's fair. If last round was a true tie breaker, rubix should've gotten it. Just sayin overall Gonzy would've gotten my vote before that point.
This is a weird BTM setup anyways. The whole point of the original was that it wasn't a competition. Felt more like a friendly callout
@@SoulReaper66623 no worries lol
Are we watching the same video? Rubix was so patient throughout. He was able to flow and have power moves at the same time without losing control. He's already killer, he doesn't need to do anything different to be "killer". What I saw from Rubix was a display of artistic mastery. And tbh I'm not a big fan of Rubix, I don't tend to like his battles too much, but this performance was perfection.
I can understand that, since it's your opinion lol. But damn😂🤣To ME... Rubix smoked this man
9:22 that a perfect camera angle, who would have thought :)
Whats the song at 14:05
Anyone know the WIld Side remix at 13:00? Also Rubin/Gonzy both killed this round
Jk - baby what you wanna do

20:29 - 21:15 on repeat. This guy has no bones I swear 🤣
The disrespect of RUBIX continues. Hands down he won

Rubix won 🔥
What’s the remix called from Normi?, 13:05
jk - baby what u wanna do
beautiful exchange
Song? 18:20
???
I am just surprised how the judges actually though that exchange was a tie. Mehn gonzy is for sure a beast, howeve rubix was on a different level from the beginning. Like his rythm and prime moves were in congruent with both the music, sound and beat. His choreography is on a different level and I really do not understand how the judges saw this as a tie. The last round I would give to gonzy because of some sick controls he did at the end, however the exchange TO ME IS NOT A TIE. I sometimes try to get into the judges mind to really understand how they make this decisions but it was to me not a great call. Appreciate the content as always.
much love to gonzy. with that being said a tie was debatable and the musicality rubix was hitting in that last round was crazy, arguably his best round, gonzy’s last round wasn’t his best. so how was it a draw then a win for gonzy? no disrespect, judging just didn’t seem consistent lol
It's not purely about technique, musicality or execution like traditional battles. This battle is more about experimentation and exploration. I liked the danger if the concept in 29:19 - 29:24
And i think what separated gonzy was how much risk he was willing to take in comparison to rubix. Rubix took a lot of risk too, don't get me wrong, i just think gonzy was specifically focusing on things he doesn't use in battle
Musicality focusing on hitting the beat. Musicality is when you freely flow through music without being concerned to check the usual beatkills with the usual moves. Rubix has to learn to be patient and stop focusing on beatkills. That would be his final form.
@@iudexCervello danger has to pay off. At the time that you specified he literally threw a big move that didnt end up fitting the song. Meanwhile rubix's last round was his most natural and most fitting to the music. He is right that the judging is inconsistent. Strongest rubix round vs weakest/2nd weakest gonzy round and they gave it to gonzy
@@SoulReaper66623 this is btm experience so no, it doesn't necessarily have to pay off, it just has to show potential. Basically this battle is about who explores their elements the most and shows off their levels in vocabulary. You can say rubix experimented more with the storytelling experience, and gonzy experimented more with timing, orientation, levels, and texture of his movement. Btm prioritizes the latter, because that's the type of thing that's harder for dancers to grasp, because it teaches subversion
It also paid off as expected, that move at 29:18 more common in the breaking and experimental scene than in hip hop, but he did it the right way and I personally learned something about gonzy in that moment
@@iudexCervello He attempted a move and it failed. Failed attempts shouldn't earn you points in a BATTLE. And this is a battle, not a showcase. If you start awarding points for ''potential'' judging will become even more subjective than it is.
moves that look nice but aren't on beat are the exact opposite of what this event is supposed to be - a high level exchange that challenges you to be on point despite the length and amount of rounds you have to perform.
idk it can be just me, i do see alex influences of hip hop dancing in him now he’s trying to mixture it in with all the other creative styles he has made his own its great but once he figure it out the dance world is Rubix 🤷🏾♂️
Respect to Gonzy but Rubix took that tie breaker CLEARLY

I NEED LAST SONG

Rubix looking like larry and laurent did a fusion
Rubrix is actually a seamless fusion of Larry, Laurent, Rochka, and Tahiti...
Rubix robbed again. He should've won!
Gonzy is dope but rubix won ✊🏽🔥.

What? Are y’all watching the same video I am? Rubix was the only dancer in the video. Other guy had me yawning 🥱
Rubix🥶🥶
Idk if im the only one, but i find the last song a little bit messy besides when it beatdrops. I legit could not listen to it cuz of the too many beats.

RUBIX EL MEJOR
what does this phrase mean? (ЛАРИБУНЗ ) in French
The facilitator speaks before the start of the next round
they are saying: "la réponse"
which means "the response" or "ответ"
@@roycebracket276 thank you )
Gonzy est juste incroyable, ils prends son temps, il est musicale, il est poète.
Excellent battle, sincérement.
I'm so disappointed. Everytime i see Physs or Batalla as judge, i know that new generations will lose.
I would agree for Physs but Jimmy is a big fan of Rubix though, he gave him the W for a battle event organized by his own crew. So I guess he’s quite objective, every judge has their criteria. It’s the game 🤷🏾♂️
@@Arnoboy93 I agree. He gave the victory to Gonzy in the last round. But we couldn't see the tie's preferences.
I saw a story on the decision. They took the mic to say it was tie. There was no hand judging
metoo when people are not able to distinguish freestyle dance
@@paharnickrb but it is still a hip hop battle
rubix cray
10:10 flow.
7:11 are you sick?
Okay, so let's agree there was a tie. But the last round after the tie break clearly goes to Rubrix...I guess the judges were just too afraid to acknowledge that.
I'm passing judgment after each round: 1st Round goes to Rubrix...second and third goes to Gonzy...4th round goes to Rubrix...5th round goes to Rubrix...6th round to Rubrix...Rubrix was more into the music than Gonzy in all except in the third round.
they really had to sacrifice gonzy to the grizzly
7906
Rubix had All rounds
Gonzy is a dope dancer but I feel like he tries to do anything, random moves and when he does it does not connect.
SO many uneducated fools in the comments. Metal has reviewed the battle, thought that Gonzy was at LEAST Rubix's equal and Rubix agreed in the comments.
Felt Rubix won the bonus round
chang the judges pls
I’m sorry, but Rubix had this!
Gonzy winner mais il faut comprendre pourquoi, je pense qu’il suffit pas de tuer le song👍 après c’est mon avis
