In this unsponsored, honest review, I discuss my experience with Prose Custom Hair Care over the past 6 months of use. Love the honesty, I just purchased my first order or prose and hoping for the best.. my hair is so damaged );
I recently started doing research on how to care for curly hair since lately it’s been breaking off so bad, and is super dry!
I wash my hair pretty much everyday & I keep hearing how bad it is and I never know what products to use. I get so overwhelmed with all the options when I go to the store.
For me the driving factor to purchasing prose was the convenience of tailoring specific products to my needs.

Helpful, thank you. I tried Prose once years ago, before they had curly hair products. I was not very impressed, but wondered if I should give them another shot. But my scalp is really sensitive (I remember it not loving the shampoo the first time) so I think I'll just skip it.

If you’re dealing with frizz, you definitely shouldn’t be brushing your wet hair before adding your styling products to your hair. You need the products to help with slip so you don’t break your hair when it’s wet, because that’s when it’s most fragile. You only use your brush to help distribute product. Use a leave-in conditioner to help detangle, then use the curl cream and then use a wet brush or Denman brush to distribute product and then help with your curl pattern. Also, as far as the scalp mask, you don’t need to use your sink. Just get a continuous spray bottle to dampen your hair and then get a shower cap to wear over your hair so that your product isn’t dripping onto your face. I’m also curious what kind of brush you use? Do you use a t-shirt or microfiber towel to dry your hair? Those will also help with frizz. A pre wash scalp oil or a scalp serum with salicylic acid works wonders on flaky scalp. Nizoral is the best anti-dandruff shampoo I’ve ever used but I use it in conjunction with the JVN pre-wash scalp oil. You put it on your scalp 15 min before your shower and it doesn’t drip or require your hair to be damp. That would probably work best for you.
Great suggestions in this comment. I would also suggest looking up curly hair routines on youtube. My hair seems like it would be very similar to yours, but even better now that I follow some of the tips and tricks I've learned from UA-cam. I am also using Prose and love it! Just this week, I started using the Prose gel and diffusing my hair with a blow dryer instead of air drying. You would not believe the difference!!!!
I have used Prose for 4 years. My scent in my products lasted for days. My hair completely changed. So maybe it’s a personal thing. The scent Corsica is clean and fresh. I love it more than the others. I only used shampoo and conditioner. My hair is fine and oily though.
That’s my favorite scent. It does last because I also have the curl cream and gel. This is the first in a while that my hair retains the smell of the hair products. I’ve only encountered that JSL Essentials stays on me too.

How to apply the pre-shampoo, should it be on dry or wet hair, and how long should I leave it on? It’s my first time using it. Thank you.
If you're referring to a pre-shampoo mask, they recommend leaving it in your wet hair for up to 30 minutes, washing it out, and then cleaning your hair with shampoo. If you're referring to the conditioner that comes with the shampoo, they recommend washing your hair with shampoo, then applying conditioner for 3 - 5 minutes, and then washing the conditioner out.

I still use Prose most of the time. It's definitely more worth it when you have a problem with your hair than when you've used it for a while.

I disagree, there impossible to get a hold of atleast for ur money back, they keep ur credit card online and you can’t take it off! My experience bad stuff!
