from my experience, using long allen/torx bit with ratchet or breaker bar is a recipe for stripped bolt head. it's because the bit went sideway once you put your energy into the ratchet/bar. either you hold the socket to keep it straight or use shortest bit possible to keep things safe

In the future I'd like to score a set where the hex part only sticks out ~1/4 inch out of the socket. Great observation
