The claw thing around the player's icon in the bottom left means that the killer has a perk where, if he interacts with the person in the claws (interact - attack, kill etc.), he gets more points.
if this helps, when a person is the obsession, I think the killer will gain more points the longer the obsession is alive and if the killer has perks and kills the obsession, they'll lose a perk or something like that
He literally uses it every single time and he needs to know that it doesn't work in every situation. He's legit just gifting the guy a level 3 charge up
I believe the reason why is because he DESTROYS them whenever he is killer, so he probably doesn't want to show off whenever he's the killer. He's very good at being a survivor, but I think it's because he doesn't want to show off of how good he is at the game and gives them a chance. I mean, he either gets everyone or all but one, which I find very entertaining to watch them rage but it's his choice. Sorry, I ranted
I thinks it`s just because they all love to make JJ and Ethan rage when JJ catches an occasional wild Ethan and then Ethan tries to get revenge and fails, then the Sidemen call in Vick so there are some actual hooks, they do this because the need to get Vick, JJ and Ethan to HOOK UP XD
