Sorry? It's still working great! We run it on our solar circuit most of the time, but can move it around the house as needed. We've even taken it outside and ran it! I definitely get excited over weird things.
I actually bought one exactly a year ago and it would be great for an rv or a tiny home but because I have so many kids and dogs it just didn’t work for me so now it’s just sitting in my home for emergencies 😅
I really appreciate you and your wife for making this video about a dryer that runs on 110. I really appreciate you both.!!! I’m thinking about buying one because I don’t have a 220 receptacle in my apartment
This would be awesome for RV use or even mounting in a window at home. One of these or a 110v water heater make excellent energy dump for excess solar.

@@Mr.Handy-ishI’m considering buying one of these. My Maytag dryer went out. My concern is would it be large enough for a bed comforter (king size)? Thanks for your response
Legally, if you're in an apartment that has washer dryer hook ups these small units are not allowed. And if your apartment does NOT have the hook ups you're supposed to get permission from management. I didn't. Both the washer and dryer work well but there are negatives. The only negative with this dryer is that you cannot fit a whole lot in it, probably a third of an average load at a time and it takes a little longer to dry. The miniature washers, mine is a Zeny, require filling and draining several times for each load. It doesn't always drain very quickly so I have to put a plastic router into the drain pipe to open it up for faster drainage. Note: large items such as king bed sheets, comforters, etc, need full size appliances. I got rid of my large bath towels and now only use medium size hand towels after showering. I got used to it. The hand towels fit in the washer and dryer just fine. I haven't noticed any increase in my electric bill. In fact I read in a few places that electric bills will only increase by about $8 to $10 a year with these appliances. So that's a good thing.
Does it say in your lease that you can't have these portable washers and dryers? If it's not in the lease then you can have them. Actually I think it would be stupid if apartments wouldn't let you have these. Do you have to ask permission to have a microwave or air fryer? People shouldn't have to ask for permission to have these or other appliances they want to have. It's really no difference in having these and having microwaves, toasters, airfryers, clothes irons, box fans, pedestal fans, etc etc.
You should get a portable washer like I have. I have one that washes and spins in the same drum. It's literally a mini size of a full size washer. I had a zeny before I got the one I have and I loved the mini zeny at first then started hating it because I'd have to put it in the bathtub Everytime I used it and then putting water, the spin side, and bending over got irritating so I got a fully automatic portable washer and I love it.
Devil's advocate here, and not a legal expert at all...but I could see a risk to the landlord. A portable laundry machine could mean water damage anywhere if the machine malfunctions or isn't monitored closely. I see your point, though...any appliance could have possible risk associated with it.
I just bought it but I was trying to understand the timer. The number next to the orange bar, does it indicate the time or heat? And the same goes on the red bar?
Both...it is a timer with the numbers, but if you only set it for a few minutes, it won't be hot. Set it longer to get the most heat out of it (and high heat button in). As it runs out of time, it gradually gets cooler.
@@mohamedfares7135 Glad I can help ..ours is running right now! I hope you have as good of luck as we have with it. We often run clothes through a panda spin dryer first...helps a lot! It's on my channel if you wanna check it out.
Cool idea. Would definitely work. As another commenter noted, if you vent into the space, you'll warm the space too, but that may release any laundry chemicals into the air...and moisture. However, if you're just warming up a dry towel and aren't worried about chemicals...or are venting outside, then it'd work great...put it in on high temp for a few minutes. Can't see why not. I have one of these and I love it. Bought it 2 years ago. First problem I had today is that it stopped blowing air out of the back. It also stopped running about 10 minutes in. Short of taking the whole backing off, I've checked everything I could find for blockage. I clean the filter all the time too. I live in a small A Frame and use a portable washer as well as this portable dryer. I have the dryer set up on a short sturdy table with folding legs so it sits higher when I use it. I just fold the table back up and put a cloth over the top of the dryer and store the table on top. Would you have any idea why it would stop running and the air isn't blowing out like it was last night? I dread taking the back off but guess I'm going to have to. Ugh
@@Mr.Handy-ish I bit the bullet and took off the back and yes it was the belt. It slipped off. I put the sucker where it belonged and it's working like a charm now. I just didn't put the million back screws back on, just enough to hold it tight. Thanks so much.
