I heard this song originally in about 1970-71. I was a waiter at the Copacabana in New York City and Dick Jensen was the one who introduced me to the song. I really loved it. The songwriter is Kui Lee.
Elvis hands down made the best remake of this song in his Hawaii concert and then Bruno! Elvis brought the sweet tenderness to this song to another level that no one else will ever be able to touch. Love them both!
bruno is just a sweet hearted young man, he's super talented and all he ever wanted is to sing and he achieved his dream I'll always support him no matter what I mean look at him seriously how can someone not like him I am 26 years old and I've never been that attached to any kind of artist but when I first heard bruno's music I fell hard for him I expect greater things for him at 2012
Bruno made me cry :"( i am crying so badly right now. my mommy would freak out if she saw me. It was because of Bruno. ♥ It made me more like him so soo soo much!!!
This is Kui Lee's song. I knew Kui on the beach many years ago. He was a phenomenal talent and just beginning to get recognized when he died so tragically.
@@charliejohnson4166 no he didn't , he said in his hawaii concert that "I'm so lonesome I could cry" (Hank Williams) was the saddest song he ever sung.
I love this song, "I'll Remember You" which was done by the Makaha Sons & Brother Iz (Native Hawaiian) as well as Elvis Presley. I love Bruno's rendition too. The show was at Blaisdell Center in Honolulu. I Love You Hawai'i
The version of Elvis, his voice, are second to none. Bruno's voice is not surprising at all. The best version of "I'll remember you" will always be Elvis aloha from Hawaii 1973
Bruno, Me, your family, your friends, your fans, we are so proud of you! You worked so hard, you come this far and I can't describe how much proud I am of you. You derserve all good! Me & the other hooligans and of course your family too will always support you no matter what. The haters got nothing on you sweetheart. You are so amazing. Aloha au ia 'oe! Never forget that. Xoxo
It was also probably special to Bruno considering Elvis performed there for his Aloha from Hawaii special in 1973. He also sang the same song, on the same stage. That's what I always think about every time I watch this video.
Dont know if you guys gives a shit but if you're bored like me atm you can watch pretty much all the new movies on InstaFlixxer. I've been binge watching with my gf recently =)
There are many versions of this song by Kwi Lee whose original is my favorite....Andy Williams and Connie Francis' versions are both touching.... but I also love Bruno 's version...He is a versatile performer.
I'm from hawaii .. my father is a musician. . He had Kui Lee records who also died of cancer - Do Ho sang this song also died of cancer...I think this is where bruno Mars got his big break he sang at Don Ho's club - Hawaiians all knew Don Ho - sang many hawaiian songs..also in rhe 70s had a TV show.
When living in Hawaii in the late 60s I did go to Nani Lee concert singing her deceased husband Kui's songs...Being an astrologer I was curious about Bruno's connection to Kui.. I am sensing Bruno is his reincarnation...

Yea and watch the express on Elvis' face when he made a perfect key change in the song at the break "a cappella", now that was perfection.

I was a huge Bruno Mars fan before hand but THIS video here sealed his spot as my favorite artist of our generation.
Bruno made me cry :"( i am crying so badly right now. my mommy would freak out if she saw me. It was because of Bruno. ♥ It made me more like him so soo soo much!!!

Kui. Lee. Wrote this song. For his wife. After he had found he was terminally ill.

He cried 'coz he remembered their life then...the struggle
If only the crowd would shut up, this song is so emotional for hm to sing, he can barely get through it. Could have been so beautiful.

En Argentina lo estamos esperando con muchas ansias.

Kui Lee relived through Bruno Mars. His mother would've danced hula to this song...
@221laroux
he came back home after being abroad for a year and he had a big welcome as you can see.
I love you Bruno.❤️🌈☀️🌦️🌺🌸
Voz muito bonita 👏👏👏👏👍🇵🇹
How come so many people on this thread aren't mentioning the great Don Ho who really made this his own and brought the island emotion to the song?
#HappyBrunoMarsDay #proud
It was a guy called Kui Lee from the album The Extraordinary Kui Lee who done the original not Don ho
+DEWI MEADE Don Ho was not even Hawaiian, he was Chinese, and Kui wrote that song, i know , KHS 1973 Oahu...
Don Ho was Hawaiian. Both his parents were part Hawaiian.
Kui was not just a guy, but an extraordinary artist/poet/song writer who died too young from cancer.
Canta muito Só podia ser fã do Elvis Pq Todo Fã Do Elvis Sendo Cantor Vai Ser Grande!
Damn.. I wish I lived in Hawaii. It'd be the best birthday ever.. :/
❤
he went to zippys afta! unreal~
So genital and sweet!!! I love him so much!!! xD
Hay hay
Another wonderful recording of this tune is by a lady names ' Robin Wilson'
Can I ask why was that night so specialy to him?
Sabina Džamastagic It was his 1st concert home since becoming a success. He was probably reminiscing. #thefeels
Ohh so touching!

This song was made by my grandfather

Awwwww!! That just made me live him 10000000X more(: who sings this song originally? Its beautiful(:
Julia Ghoulia Kui Lee is the original artist!
Nice contemporary version .
When living in Hawaii in the late 60s I did go to Nani Lee concert singing her deceased husband Kui's songs...Being an astrologer I was curious about Bruno's connection to Kui.. I am sensing Bruno is his reincarnation...
can someone tell me what key he sang this in? It's perfect for my voice and I was asked to sing this at a funeral. Thank you!
@221laroux maybe cuz he was performed in his hometown.
He was singing Elvis version.
Btw this song is by Elvis Presley
Well duh cause he impersonated him when he was young!!
Christina Colatorti written by Kui Lee, not Elvis. Recorded first by Don Ho.
Bruno nice voice❤
He sings " I`ll Remember You " it`s better.
KUI LEE
Two Roosevelt Rough Riders, Kui lee wrote this song.
Was he crying 2:30 damnit!
M
That song is actually a Kui Lee song... Don Ho copied it.
sounds like timberlake
Elvis 50 million times better than this.
Nice recording of a bunch of screaming., not worthly of a post . a waste of time sucks.
It would be nice to be able to hear him sing without that constant shrieking.
horrível!
Horrible.
I like Bruno but this is not very good , to be honest its the worse version of the many l have heard.
Mahalo🤙🏽
