- It's X-Person vs. X-Person in the fanfarelss 100th issue of of X-Men. Questions abound. Why isn't Beat blue? How is Professor X able to walk? And one team member will risk their life for the lives of everyone else and never be the same again.
CCXCC is a weekly Comic Club where we take a look at Claremont's run on X-Men, issue by issue. I have never read the whole run and John has it engrained in his DNA. I'll be looking at it from an artist's POV and John will analyze them as a writer. Join us every Wednesday as we go through the 292+ issues of Uncanny X-Men written by a master storyteller and drawn by some if the finest talents to ever grace the comics medium.
John Coats is the writer of comics, Dino Beasts and Ninja IV: Dark Vengeance, drawn by his brother, James. He is also the writer of NINJA and M.L.F. and editor of the critically acclaimed BERSERKER series by Bludgeon.

I bought this issue off the racks as a kid and I was instantly hooked. The two page spread is my favorite non Jack Kirby spread of all time. I didn’t know any history of the X-Men at all but the art and dialogue quickly got me up to speed.
This issue was amazing! I laughed so hard when all of the x-men, especially Banshee, were like “Wolverine, what the hell man” and it turned out that the Jean he eviscerates is a sentinel in disguise. I also love how Jean asserts herself in the ending and it was so sad for Cyclops as he has always loved Jean and them not knowing how what happens will change the team forever.
@@MichaelEspey-hp1jt I feel like it’s the best set of issues thus far. I love your responses to this. We really appreciate it. It’s great to know we’re not talking in the wind and that someone enjoys it.
