As a newer player, I struggled to find servers that were truly beginner friendly, so I opted to split time between vanilla and PVE servers. These servers have been a great way to learn the game, monuments and tech. They can be pretty fun and a nice break from getting door camped, 5-to-1 jumped and offline raided every day.
If you're getting constantly door camped, 5 to 1 jumped and offline raided every day then you haven't learned the number one skill that new players must learn: proper server selection. Sounds like you went between two extremes; official servers to pve servers. For a new player, the best experience will be found on solo/duo vanilla community servers with 4250 or greater map size and bi-weekly or monthly wipe schedules. Servers that don't wipe BPs every month can also be good for new players that only play casually.

Not sure you've done another one like you said you would, but you should. Bear
I play a pveVp rust server. Rust empires. Pretty structured. But killing is allowed in zones. In my old age I'd rather have to not worried about being offlined.. they have way more. Cities, dungeons, quests and bosses as well as pve raids and abandoned player base raids. I love it tbh
Been waiting on Rust console to get community servers for a million years. Supposedly soon. Love the game but can’t devote the time most do and the couple times there have been PVE events it’s such a relaxing version of the game for me. Hope the come through with it soon.
Glad you enjoyed yourself. I have tried a lot of PvE servers in trying to learn this game the last month. They’re fun and some let you use building skins and a skin box to skin everything with skins you don’t personally own. The server owner sets what skins are available to use for free with the skinbox and usually include weird ones like those clear ones your neighbor had. I like the see through doors.
I like PVE servers as someone that, due to work schedule, can't commit hours to a vanilla server and got tired of being raided while I was at work. There's some fun ones, especially with the "RAID ME" plug-in which allows you to test your base designs against AI raiders.
I use to play Rust when wolves dropped chicken meat and zombies still roamed. I tried to pick it back up, and I have no idea what I am doing. The community is insanely toxic now-a-days as well. This server looks right up my alley, and I will most likely be giving it a shot thanks to your video.
Interesting, thank you. I see the point in these servers now and realize I can have a lot of fun learning the game. I play solo and never got very far on pve - it's fun but could never really get to do the monuments etc. with this I can learn how everything works without instantly dying or hiding in my base
Just got around to watching this video. Was so surprised you managed to run into, and build next to, one of the friendliest players I've ever met in a game, Apsalar. He's part of the reason I've stuck around on Wasteland pve servers (even though F for Orion)
I play on a PvE server under the community tab. It's a mostly vanilla server with only a few tweaks like locked crates only taking 4 minutes instead of 15. Our server is active and always has people online, and for the most part everyone is nice. There is no killing other players or raiding allowed except or the last day of wipe. The admin team is very active an responds in minutes to anyone breaking the rules. Its a really nice place for new players to learn the mechanics of the game before jumping into PvP.
PVE servers can be good for learning the gameplay, how too build etc. It can have alot more of AI/NPC events and raiding raidablebases. I have had some servers, most PVE, and having plenty of paid plugins, witch the NPC can also raid playerbases, after the owner of the base has either killed NPC's or done alot of raidablebases... It can be hard for new players, but good for the teamwork if all players comes together fighting the NPCS
There's always a little checklist I do when I play a Wipe on a PVE Server. It goes from getting a Car with a Garage to having a decently decorative/creative base to unlocking every bp.
I've played a lot of PvE Servers and for future reference maybe let me explain a few things. - Generally you can BUY the raids using the servers currency system and the server will automatically build the base somewhere on the map for you to raid it. Each difficulty increases the loot and the level of walls and defenses. Most servers have it set to only players in your team can have access to the raid zone. - There are usually boss events on most servers that roam the high tier monuments like Launch Site. I genuinely believe I got better at the game from playing on PvE because I got to learn how monuments work and raiding stuff works. I recommend it to all my friends who get into Rust for the first time.
Makes you wonder if this could have been how Rust ended up on the main Branch? Great content showing there is so much to Rust other than what is the game meta.
Thank you for trying out a PVE server. I don't play Rust because PvP looks like a nightmare (especially for noobs), but worried that simply building roleplay bases and killing bears on PVE would get boring real quick. It looks like they've catered very nicely for people who'd like a challenge, without the toxicity. Has actually made me consider buying Rust. Would love to see more gameplay of this server. How often do they server wipe? Loved your chill, you've earned yourself a new subscriber :)
I play the PVE servers too, really so I can build some cool bases and do the things I'd never survive long enough to do in PVP, like large tea farms etc. this was fun to watch!
I play pve cause I like to build, also players will help you, no grieving just relaxed. The mods on pve are awesome just because it is pve does not mean its going to be easy, some are just as hard as pvp. Glad you enjoyed it not enough pve videos out there ,was great to hear the surprise in your voice as you found things out. Next time, try the hard rideable base a lot more of a challenge

i play on pve/zombie/purge servers for years. Most pve servers have options to teleport, make 2-3 bases/homes, daily kits like kits for building, weapons kits etc.
Rust without the toxicity? Hell of an idea, but I love it. Sincerely appreciate the raid on Lazarus! That was hella fun. I'll try to actually make a sincere base next time. Cheers!
Hi Brit this server is where me and my friends play you met one in this video Apsalar, loot from Heli's isnt too bad but its the Bradzilla you want to work towards. If you enjoyed this you might like another server that we play on where they have a convoy with Heli Bradley and heavies also they have Bradleys on trains and in the underground roaming they can also be on the oil rigs and cargo
I think you'll love this small one called Zombiegeddon, maybe that'll become your new Lazarus! Has boss fights, tiered zones, and an enormous progression system (ik it sounds like I'm shilling, it's just a server i enjoy playing)
PvE servers are actually pretty fun if you find a good one. The one I play on a lot when you die, spawns you back in with everything you had on you when you died.
Dude. I play at RW from time to time. Love it. For people who have dayjob and family it is a great run from everyday life. Also, many people - me included - do not use voice chat. I play late and my kids are usually asleep. So talking loud to microfone isn't advised. Nice video tough. Hope to meet up at RW. Cheers.
PVE is my new heaven. After PVPing since 2013, not sleeping in case of raid and massive adrenaline rush in competition, I'm 100% dedicated on my PVE server with zombies, farming and events ^^
seems like a nice server, i play only PVE and also admin on one, pve is awesome, people are friendly, build really awesome bases. we have raidbases, when heli comes in they come in packs of up to 5 at once, zombie hoards roaming, roaming bradley at main road and all large monuments, armored train event, skinbox with special skins, (like those glass doors) its just chill gameplay in a cool game where you can make cool stuff without worrying. you should have returned the rockets tho =P
I noticed also that the players in PVE serversdont use VC a whole lot. My personal experience tells me it's something related to the flow of the current game, where in PVP vanilla rust you're presented to this hostile and dangerous environment, where not only people can deceive you but can also break some of the Geneva conventions and/or human rights in a single sentence. In PVE servers you'll find more people that wanted to move away from the anxiogenic effects that vanilla gives bit still enjoy the core mechanics the game offers, so although everyone is helpful they're also distrustful about everything you say. thus, they keep the conversation at the minimal level, like little gremlins. It's beautiful. But, also worth to mention that once you earn the trust of the people you're interacting to in PVE, you're probably also find a friend in that person. Almost every single person I found in PVE turned out to be a chill, giving and helpful person that just didn't want to be forced into a PVP matchout in a survival game where colectiveness is an option. not the preferred option for the vast majority of the playerbase, but still a option.
Nice vid Britt. I have over 4K hours in pure PVE servers. I can’t do pvp that shit is too damn toxic. what I like about PVE is that it lets you enjoy the fundamentals of the actual game. You farm for hours and grind comps for scrap and log off for the night and everything will be there the next day. I will say after spending so much time on only PVE it does get boring from time to time but would still prefer PVE over PVP any day of the week.

I spent my first 1000 hours in PvE servers so I could learn. It let me understand how to run card rooms, oil, build bases without needing to feel rushed and free aimtrain on NPCs so when I moved to PvP I could at least hold my own against people who weren't chads. Definitely helped me a bunch and definitely would recommend to any new rust player who wants to learn at their own pace without being killed by randoms or roof campers

Like someone else has said is find their info page (usually /info) and from there you can learn a lot about the server you're on. Anyone that reads this post, you're welcome to pop over and try my server. We use a Bank to carry things over and the more you play, the more you earn. Great Video. Not sure you've done another one like you said you would, but you should.

I play a pveVp rust server. Rust empires. Pretty structured. But killing is allowed in zones. In my old age I'd rather have to not worried about being offlined.. they have way more. Cities, dungeons, quests and bosses as well as pve raids and abandoned player base raids. I love it tbh
I love this PVE stuff. It's awesome
Been waiting on Rust console to get community servers for a million years. Supposedly soon. Love the game but can’t devote the time most do and the couple times there have been PVE events it’s such a relaxing version of the game for me. Hope the come through with it soon.
I like how you just hop on without reading up on anything.
😃
Is fun every time you ponder of something that is/ was stated in info at start.
so interesting seeing you make a video on a server i have hundreds of hours in. Its funny to see so many familiar names running around lol
I think PVE is the way Rust intended for the game to be played originally. Love to see wholesome content
Be careful learning on there because PVP is a whole different beast and there's nothing on the PVE server that will prepare you for that
@@magicpyroninja it’s the same game, just without the people door or roof camping you or hiding in bushes.
a lot of server owners will actually add skins you like if you ask
Daaang Brit in pve is a delightttt
I would love to see more of this it's really interesting
I like PVE servers as someone that, due to work schedule, can't commit hours to a vanilla server and got tired of being raided while I was at work. There's some fun ones, especially with the "RAID ME" plug-in which allows you to test your base designs against AI raiders.
I use to play Rust when wolves dropped chicken meat and zombies still roamed.
I tried to pick it back up, and I have no idea what I am doing. The community is insanely toxic now-a-days as well.
This server looks right up my alley, and I will most likely be giving it a shot thanks to your video.
I’d love to see a full wipe on here it looks fun and it’s a nice change of pace from normal rust
[US]RustEZ Scourge was the most packed PVE server I've played. Wipe day usually has a queue easily 25-30+. Their mods code and manage custom plugins.
Dude RustEZ scourge was the only reason I didn't quit rust at the start, finding a cool pve community kept me in the game.
This was a pretty wholesome upload, looking forward to blazed/spoon
Interesting, thank you. I see the point in these servers now and realize I can have a lot of fun learning the game. I play solo and never got very far on pve - it's fun but could never really get to do the monuments etc. with this I can learn how everything works without instantly dying or hiding in my base
Yes, do more like this. Keep up the good work.
Its a really nice place for new players to learn the mechanics of the game before jumping into PvP.
pretty sure i played on that same server years ago, the Nightmare raid bases were insane. Definitely want to see you try do that
I love the RuneScape music in the back ❤
I play on alpha eu pve and have to say i am having a blast , just when i come back from work and the base is still there. Love the pve
you're on a plentiful pve server and you're grubbin the guys who're helping you? it's that very reason they moved to pve...
You need to do a series of these kind of servers 😅 they seem cool and you sound like you enjoyed not runing into a lot of cheaters
That spoon blazed and Brit trio sounds like a fun one for sure. And on Lazarus…t ….. sounds dope to me
It's a good day when brit posts
Get well soon brit, thanks for the upload. Thats a new rust exp. Would like you to take that hard raid large ice wall done! Haha😂😂😂 thanks
You should try zombie land sometime, they do custom monuments and NPCs. Love the videos as always
I love this server! Id love to see more videos on it!
There's always a little checklist I do when I play a Wipe on a PVE Server.
It goes from getting a Car with a Garage to having a decently decorative/creative base to unlocking every bp.
This is the coolest rust mod ever. Plz play more of this.
Thank you for always bring us a different side of Rust with these types of videos!! Appreciate you!!
Definitely wanna see more of that
I whould love to see another video on this server!
Makes you wonder if this could have been how Rust ended up on the main Branch? Great content showing there is so much to Rust other than what is the game meta.
That looks like a colorful and animated server.... I like it! :D
Npc's aren't a challenge in Rust. Quit being a Bud Light enjoyer and just get the game already.
@@lukehenry5987 thank you for showcasing my point
@@fyrebird5898 thank you for showcasing mine
The runescape backround music was a golden touch idk if i wana play rust or rs now lol that musics a vibe
This was fun to Watch!😊
I would love too see more of that server!
Yep want to see more of this fella. Wonder what kind of a monster base is behind the giant ice walls.
im not going to lie this server looks fun as hell. i usally play community servers just to relax but this one actually looks fun
I play the PVE servers too, really so I can build some cool bases and do the things I'd never survive long enough to do in PVP, like large tea farms etc. this was fun to watch!
Loved it do a full wipe!
Def do a whole wipe Brit. I love how you expand what you play on rust with the 12746282917x servers you basically started that and other UA-camrs tried it out and now this with the PVE your really goin places love you Brit. And def do a whole wipe on Pve servers it would be fireee
i play on pve/zombie/purge servers for years. Most pve servers have options to teleport, make 2-3 bases/homes, daily kits like kits for building, weapons kits etc.
I makes me happy seeing all of the PVE servers you play on running Skill Tree 🥰
That was definitely different, and awesome play it some more
Rust without the toxicity? Hell of an idea, but I love it. Sincerely appreciate the raid on Lazarus! That was hella fun. I'll try to actually make a sincere base next time. Cheers!
Hi Brit this server is where me and my friends play you met one in this video Apsalar, loot from Heli's isnt too bad but its the Bradzilla you want to work towards. If you enjoyed this you might like another server that we play on where they have a convoy with Heli Bradley and heavies also they have Bradleys on trains and in the underground roaming they can also be on the oil rigs and cargo
heyo Misty we miss you! :D
Apsalar :D
Cheers.
Definitely play full wipe fairly entertaining
PVE is my new heaven. After PVPing since 2013, not sleeping in case of raid and massive adrenaline rush in competition, I'm 100% dedicated on my PVE server with zombies, farming and events ^^
A wipe with the two channels I watch the most let's go I'm looking forward to that one spoon and blazed
this server seems chill enough for a full wipe
seems like a nice server, i play only PVE and also admin on one, pve is awesome, people are friendly, build really awesome bases. we have raidbases, when heli comes in they come in packs of up to 5 at once, zombie hoards roaming, roaming bradley at main road and all large monuments, armored train event, skinbox with special skins, (like those glass doors) its just chill gameplay in a cool game where you can make cool stuff without worrying. you should have returned the rockets tho =P
Wipes on pve can be a lot of fun. You should definitely do one
3 years on Zombieland nothing compares. Custom maps, monuments skill points store tons to explore. Great community
Yep. I love the Zombieland servers.
sadly no more rp...thats why we switched to this one...😢
sadly no more rp...thats why we switched to this one...😢
Awkward laugh at 28:00 when put in a clueless situation. I felt that.
Ohhh can't wait to see that trio!!! Btw PvE are fun to play also

There's so many cool ideas in these servers that it's kinda crazy Facepunch hasn't stolen some of them.
