I don't necessarily agree, it is hard because it goes for a few bars, but for me at least the voicing part in the beginning of the doppio movimento is the hardest because you gotta play pianissimo after all those octaves and its really hard to balance the chords in an even way while playing pianissimo and voicing a melody that has to sound singing
Until now I couldn't play the 4:44 part it is difficult .. but i dont think this peace could be played in the church or in a cafeteria ... i guess it is obvious why they asked you to leave the place ... bcuz chopin pieces should be played on the stage with people who really know classical music and like chopin's music !!
I can relate with you. I would say that the second movement is more difficult to play than the famous third movement, because the chords that are very complicated, and the third movement that only have three notes on his chords that also repeats 3 or 4 times. Another reason because the third movement is less complicated to learn is because it feels more emotional and powerful and it makes you want to practice more than every other piece.

Hey man! It's hard to generalize the best methods, since everyone learns in different ways. Only thing I can say is to start in small steps, and enjoy every step of the way. Even though it's always great to be able to play a piece after learning it for a while, but to me, making steady progress is a lot more satisfying and that's where I get my enjoyment from. This piece has very defined sections, so you should just start from the beginning. Listen carefully to what you're playing, listen back to recordings (even phone recordings) can help you look at your interpretation from a different perspective. It's all about exploring what you like and what you'd like to do differently. Best of luck!

But usually, when listening to my own playing, I notice I'm still indecisive about how I want certain parts to sound like. Working on that definitely takes a lot of time for me. I think in total I spent about a month to get it to the level I played in the video.
Hi; you are tackling poss the greatest of the Nocturnes. Once you 'have the notes' it is only then you can start on the piece. 'Indecisive' is just flexing the muscles as you discover it. You are listening to and seeking the heart of the work. It's immense. And there are many different and fine interpretations. Rubinstein of course and Arrau for example. I quite like to hear someone go for the Doppio as Chopin meant it to be. That confronts the music - and puts the music in charge. If - if you set Chopin loose on this - I think you get it. I have seen Jan Lisieki do this - and it's a blast. As is much of his stuff. Look for it. Good luck with your journey. @@joris1992

I played this nocturne in a cafe and they kicked me out. I don't understand why they did it although this is a good piece to play in public
