Sounds incredible! Truly sounds like a 'Marshall Stack' in a foot pedal. Seems like they've _finally_ figured out how to do it and yet keep it very easy to use. And the kicker is that it apparently really feels like a 'normal' tube amp when playing it. Well done indeed.
Good review and thank you for the IR! I have got the IR-X for some days now and i love it. Especially the clean channel suprised me... Your LT TV Mix 7 Speaker IR has made it on one slott. On the other two I have the original DFRIED 6402 57 121 and a Ownhammer IR of a Mesa 4x12 with V30s in the Modern mix.
Thanks Mr. Todd, excellent demo and playing. I need this to feed the house speakers and then a power amp for stage sound. Absolutely incredible, I love the versatility and flexibility! Thanks for being thorough.
Good review!!! All i can say is that i have this until its out and im not using amps since that. That sound better direct in front house than all my tubes amps mic. Sometimes something sound good alone but dont cut through the mix but this think is amazing in a mix. It also keep the sound of your guitar and is extremly good to clean up when you low down your guitar volume. Every guitar player need this!

For us the key is the noise floor.. We are touring a similar solution with victory kraken, but they have proved unreliable and even with noise gates, when direct, have an audible buzz across all 4 units, each venue each night picked up on that. @@LeonTodd Yep that sounded amazing. Saves me from buying a Small Box. Had to roll the 80hz back a little on the Tascam Model 12 but I think that is because the ASC12 sounds more like a 412.
This is how you do it! High voltage tube preamp with the benefits of digital modeling technology. So simple yet so versatile. I hope Friedman will make a rack version with stereo FX loop/outputs🤔
Great review. Thanks. Im impressed what quality of sound you get out of a rather cheap pedal compared to the amps its represents. If I would not buy a Fractal FM3 Turbo soon this would be also a good choice. For less then half of the Fractal but without all the amps and pedals of course.

Hello Leon! Love your videos. I'm thinking of grabbing one of these. Currently, my main rig is simply the Line 6 HX Effects with a Strymon Iridium inserted into a FX loop of the HX Effects. I have fuzz, boost and overdrive before the loop and then modulation, delay and reverb after. The HX Effects then goes out to my interface. Being that the output of the Friedman IR-X is balanced, can I put it in the loop of the HX Effects? Will I need to use two return jacks for a stereo return? Would I need to set the returns on the HX Effects to be line level? Would love to hear your thoughts.
